Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative proteomic profiles of the hepatopancreas in Fenneropenaeus chinensis response to hypoxic stress

TL;DR: This study is the first analysis of differentially expressed proteins in the hepatopancreas of shrimp after hypoxia and provides a new insight for further study in hypoxic stress response of shrimp at the protein level.
Journal ArticleDOI

cDNA cloning, characterization and expression analysis of the antioxidant enzyme gene, catalase, of Chinese shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis.

TL;DR: The result indicated that the catalase showed up-regulated expression trends in hemocytes at 14 h and in hepatopancreas at 37 h after injection with white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), and the deduced amino acid sequence of F. chinensis catal enzyme shares 96%, 73%, 71% and 70% identity with that of Pacific white shrimp.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Homolog of the Cell Apoptosis Susceptibility Gene Involved in Ovary Development of Chinese Shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis

TL;DR: The cell apoptosis susceptibility (CAS) gene is a homolog of the yeast chromosome segregation (CSE1) gene, which functions in cell proliferation and apoptosis, which suggested that FcCAS might function as a nuclear protein.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cloning of cytoplasmic heat shock protein 90 (FcHSP90) from Fenneropenaeus chinensis and its expression response to heat shock and hypoxia

TL;DR: A full-length complementary DNA of HSP90 (FcHSP90) from Chinese shrimp Fenneropenaeus chinensis was identified and it was deduced that FcH SP90 might play very important roles for shrimp to cope with environmental stress.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of Gene Expression Profiles of Fenneropenaeus chinensis Challenged with WSSV and Vibrio

TL;DR: The expression profiles of three differentially expressed genes identified in microarray hybridization were analyzed in hemocytes, lymphoid organ, and hepatopancreas of shrimp challenged by WSSV or Vibrio through real-time PCR and further confirmed the micro array hybridization results.
