TL;DR: The results indicated that interaction between planting method and planting density positively influenced most of the growth and yield parameters of Chia plants, and recommends the adoption of direct plant method and narrow-row spacing (SP3) as the best option for the production of ChIA plants in Ghana.

Heat Stress Tolerance: A Prerequisite for the Selection of Drought- and Low Phosphorus-Tolerant Common Beans for Equatorial Tropical Regions Such as Ghana

TL;DR: The results showed that common beans with drought and heat trait tolerance had impaired reproductive structural development and growth disruption; thus, flowers could not develop into pods with seeds, while genotypes with no heat traits had impaired reproduction structural development as mentioned in this paper .

Mitigating aflatoxin contamination in maize: Breeding for stable resistant cultivars

TL;DR: In this paper , a study was undertaken to evaluate the yield and aflatoxin contamination resistance stabilities of selected maize hybrids being developed in Ghana, which revealed that genotypic effects and environmental effects on some traits were consistently significant across environments, which mean that there was useful variation among the genotypes that could be utilized for the development of hybrids.
