Journal ArticleDOI

Some basic aspects of polymer nanocomposites: A critical review

TL;DR: In this paper, the three basic aspects of processing, characterization and properties of polymer nanocomposites are critically reviewed in a review, and the effects of nanofiller type, dispersion and contents are discussed in some details.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tensile creep behavior of short-carbon-fiber reinforced polyetherimide composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the tensile creep behavior of short carbon-fiber reinforced polyetherimide (SCF/PEI) composites at ambient temperature by short and long creep tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical, tribological and thermal properties of injection molded short carbon fiber/expanded graphite/polyetherimide composites

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of SCF-EG hybrid on the mechanical, tribological and thermal properties of polyetherimide (PEI) composites were examined, and it was shown that the tensile and flexural strength as well as fracture toughness of the PEI composites increase monotonically with increasing the relative SCFs-EG content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature-dependent mechanical properties of polyetherimide composites reinforced by graphene oxide-coated short carbon fibers

TL;DR: In this article, the temperature-dependent tensile properties of GO-sized short carbon fiber (GO@SCF) reinforced polyetherimide (PEI) composites were systematically investigated from −70°C to 170°C.
