Journal ArticleDOI

Electrocatalysis in Lithium Sulfur Batteries under Lean Electrolyte Conditions

TL;DR: High-performance sulfur electrodes containing MoP nanoparticles are successfully realized that are steadily cyclable at a high areal capacity and show faster kinetics and more reversible conversion of sulfur species, leading to improvements in charging/discharging voltage profiles, capacity, rate performance, and cycling stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel sintering method to obtain fully dense gadolinia doped ceria by applying a direct current

TL;DR: In this paper, a fully dense Ce0.8Gd0.2O1.9 (gadolinia doped ceria, GDC) is obtained by using a sintering technique for several seconds at 545°C by applying a direct current (DC) electrical field of 70 ǫ cm−1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tuning the defects of the triple conducting oxide BaCo0.4Fe0.4Zr0.1Y0.1O3−δ perovskite toward enhanced cathode activity of protonic ceramic fuel cells

TL;DR: In this article, a site deficiency of perovskite is introduced to tune the triple-conducting properties, which can stimulate the generation of oxygen vacancies and increase the oxygen-ion bulk diffusion and proton hydration kinetics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancing Polysulfide Confinement and Electrochemical Kinetics by Amorphous Cobalt Phosphide for Highly Efficient Lithium-Sulfur Batteries.

TL;DR: In this paper, amorphous cobalt phosphide grown on a reduced graphene oxide multi-multi-layer (GOMM) was used for Li-S batteries with a reduced shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics.
