Journal ArticleDOI

CLOCK and BMAL1 stabilize and activate RHOA to promote F-actin formation in cancer cells

TL;DR: Yong-xin Ma at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China and co-workers have shown that two clock proteins, CLOCK and BMAL1, regulate the arrangement of F-actin microfilaments in the cytoskeleton of cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cancer/testis antigen PIWIL2 suppresses circadian rhythms by regulating the stability and activity of BMAL1 and CLOCK.

TL;DR: The results first described a function for the germline-specific protein PIWIL2 in regulation of the circadian clock, providing a molecular link between spermatogenesis as well as tumorigenesis to the dysfunction of circadian rhythms.
Journal ArticleDOI

CLOCK interacts with RANBP9 and is involved in alternative splicing in spermatogenesis.

TL;DR: This study executed yeast two-hybrid screening using cDNA fragment of CLOCK PAS A domain as bait, and identified RANBP9 as a novel protein interacting with CLOCK, demonstrating that CLOCK is involved in alternative splicing in spermatogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Research progress on the circRNA/lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA axis in gastric cancer.

TL;DR: In this article , a review summarizes the specific ceRNA regulatory network (circRNA/lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA) discovered in gastric cancer in recent years, which may provide new ideas or strategies for early clinical diagnosis, further development, and application.
Journal ArticleDOI

The biological clock gene PER1 affects the development of oral squamous cell carcinoma by altering the circadian rhythms of cell proliferation and apoptosis

TL;DR: It is found that in OSCC cells overexpressing PER1 (OE-PER1-SCC15), the circadian rhythm characteristics of cell proliferation, apoptosis, p-AKT and p-mTOR expression were abnormally altered.
