Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Investigation on Unsteady Pressure Pulsation in a Centrifugal Pump With Special Slope Volute
Journal ArticleDOI
Unsteady flow structure and its evolution in a low specific speed centrifugal pump measured by PIV
TL;DR: In this paper, the particle image velocimetry (PIV) measuring technique was used to measure the complex flow structures in a low specific speed centrifugal pump, and three typical interacting modes were observed at different flow rates, and the cutting effect of the volute tongue on the vorticity sheet is dependent strongly on the local absolute velocity distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic measurements on unsteady pressure pulsations and flow distributions in a nuclear reactor coolant pump
TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive analysis of the dynamic characteristics of the internal flow structure in the nuclear reactor coolant pump (RCP) is performed to assess its operational stability, and an exhaustive understanding of dynamic flow characteristics is the basis for optimizing the RCP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of Rotor-Stator Interaction and Flow Unsteadiness in a Low Specific Speed Centrifugal Pump
TL;DR: In this article, the rotor-stator interaction and flow structures within a low specific-speed centrifugal pump are analyzed using the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) method. And the results show that distinct peaks at blade passing frequency (fBPF) are closely associated with the positions of the monitoring point due to rotor-Stator interaction.
