Journal ArticleDOI
Organ distribution of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) in SARS patients: implications for pathogenesis and virus transmission pathways.
Yan-qing Ding,Li He,Qingling Zhang,Zhong-xi Huang,Xiao-Yan Che,Jin-lin Hou,Huijun Wang,Hong Shen,Li-wen Qiu,Zhuguo Li,Jian Geng,Jun-jie Cai,Hui-xia Han,Xin Li,Wei Kang,Desheng Weng,Ping Liang,Shibo Jiang +17 more
TL;DR: In addition to viral spread through a respiratory route, SARS‐CoV in the intestinal tract, kidney and sweat glands may be excreted via faeces, urine and sweat, thereby leading to virus transmission.
Journal Article
Expression of the monoclonal antibody against nucleocapsid antigen of SARS-associated coronavirus in autopsy tissues from SARS patients
Li He,Yan-qing Ding,Xiao-Yan Che,Qingling Zhang,Zhong-xi Huang,Huijun Wang,Hong Shen,Zhuguo Li,Jun-jie Cai,Jin-hua Zhang,Jian Geng,Xin Li,Wen li Zhang,Hui-xia Han,Wei Kang,Lei Yang,Yao-dan Lu +16 more
TL;DR: A variety of organs and tissues can be infected by SARS-CoV, and the positive expression of Sars- CoV N protein in the epithelial cells of the gastrointestinal tract, the distal convoluted tubule of the kidney and the sweat gland cells is significant for studying the transmission routes of SARS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exosomal HMGA2 protein from EBV-positive NPC cells destroys vascular endothelial barriers and induces endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition to promote metastasis
Dengke Li,Xinghua Chen,Li-Na Wang,Jiahong Wang,Jike Li,Zi-Ying Zhou,Xin Li,Lin-Bo Cai,Shui-Sheng Zhong,Jing-Jing Zhang,Yumei Zeng,Qian-Bing Zhang,X-Y Fu,Xiaoming Lyu,Minying Li,Zhong-xi Huang,Kaitai Yao +16 more
TL;DR: These findings suggest exosomal HMGA2 from EBV-positive NPC cells promotes tumor metastasis by targeting multiple endothelial TJ and promoting EndMT, which highlights secretedHMGA2 as a potential therapeutic target and a predictive marker for NPC metastasis.
