Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of beam offset on the characteristics of copper/304stainless steel electron beam welding
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of beam offset on the joint strength was studied and the results showed that beam offset is flexible and allowed to be in the range of 0.2mm to 1mm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti–6Al–4V alloy fabricated using electron beam freeform fabrication
TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of EBF 3 - fabricated Ti-6Al-4V block have been investigated and discussed in this work, which revealed that the as-fabricated block was dominated by columnar grains and equiaxed grains and the phase constitutions were identified by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study on strengthening mechanism of Ti/Cu electron beam welding
Guo Shun,Qi Zhou,Yong Peng,Xiangfang Xu,Chenglei Diao,Jian Kong,Luo Tianyuan,Kehong Wang,Zhu Jun +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, an innovative welding method referred to as adjacent welding was addressed, which greatly improved the tensile strength of a Ti/Cu dissimilar joint, and the strength of new joint could reach up to 89% that of copper base metal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructure and mechanical characterization of re-melted Ti-6Al-4V and Al-Mg-Si alloys butt weld
TL;DR: In this article, a novel laser welding process based on welding-brazing process is proposed, referred to as local remelting process, which achieved the metallurgical bonding of incompatible Ti-6Al-4V and Al-Mg-Si alloys.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis on the Fracture of Al-Cu Dissimilar Materials Friction Stir Welding Lap Joint
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of rotation rate on macromorphology, microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated, and a fracture J integral model was used to analyze the effect of micro-structure on the mechanical properties.
