Journal ArticleDOI
Functionalizing TiO2 with graphene oxide for enhancing photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) in contaminated wastewater.
Tonni Agustiono Kurniawan,Zhu Mengting,Dun Fu,Swee Keong Yeap,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman,Ram Avtar,Tong Ouyang +6 more
TL;DR: An almost complete MB removal could be attained within 4 h, higher than that of the TiO2 alone (30%) under the same conditions, and subsequent biological treatments are unnecessary for completing biodegradation of remaining oxidation by-products in the wastewater effluents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Applicability of BaTiO3/graphene oxide (GO) composite for enhanced photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) in synthetic wastewater under UV–vis irradiation
Zhu Mengting,Tonni Agustiono Kurniawan,Song Fei,Tong Ouyang,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman,Mashallah Rezakazemi,Saeed Shirazian +6 more
TL;DR: It is evident from this study that the BaTiO3/GO composite is promising for MB photodegradation through ·OH, which has the highest MB degradation rate after 3 h of UV vis irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Applicability of TiO2(B) nanosheets@hydrochar composites for adsorption of tetracycline (TC) from contaminated water.
Zhu Mengting,Tonni Agustiono Kurniawan,Tonni Agustiono Kurniawan,Ram Avtar,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman,Tong Ouyang,Huang Yujia,Zhang Xueting,Tjandra Setiadi,Iswanto Iswanto +9 more
TL;DR: Overall, this suggests that converting the wheat straw into HC and then functionalizing its surface with TiO2(B) as a composite has added values to the waste as an adsorbent for wastewater treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication, characterization, and application of ternary magnetic recyclable Bi2WO6/BiOI@Fe3O4 composite for photodegradation of tetracycline in aqueous solutions
Zhu Mengting,Tonni Agustiono Kurniawan,You Yanping,Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman,Ram Avtar,Dun Fu,Goh Hui Hwang +6 more
TL;DR: The fabricating of a ternary magnetic recyclable Bi2WO6/BiOI@5%Fe3O4 composite suggests that the composite is a promising photocatalyst for TC removal from aqueous solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI
2D Graphene oxide (GO) doped p-n type BiOI/Bi2WO6 as a novel composite for photodegradation of bisphenol A (BPA) in aqueous solutions under UV-vis irradiation.
TL;DR: It is obvious that the GO@BiOI/Bi2WO6 has demonstrated its potential as a promising photocatalyst for BPA removal under UV-vis irradiation.
