Journal ArticleDOI
Experiment-based investigations on the effect of ignition energy on dust explosion behaviors
TL;DR: In this article, an innovative approach was introduced to derive flame thickness from the pressure-time trace, and the relation between explosion induction time and combustion duration of ignitor was also analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental investigations of coal dust-inertant mixture explosion behaviors
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental investigation was carried out on coal dust-inertant mixture explosions, and the results showed that coal dust concentrations near the stoichiometric concentration require the greatest amount of inertant to suppress explosions.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Extensive Discussion on Experimental Test of Dust Minimum Explosible Concentration
TL;DR: In this paper, an extensive investigation on experimental test of dust minimum explosible concentration (MEC) was carried out by using the Siwek 20 L vessel, and the experimental tests should be preformed under the condition that the test result is independent of ignition energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental Investigation on Inerting Mechanism of Dust Explosion
TL;DR: In this article, a thermal-gravimetric analysis was conducted to identify the reaction mechanism of coal dust explosions, which revealed that the inerting functional mechanisms are quite different for bituminous coal and anthracite dusts, and the homogeneous-combustion-dust is much easier to be inhibited than the heterogeneous-reaction-dust.
International Symposium on Safety Science and Engineering in China, 2012 (ISSSE-2012) An Extensive Discussion on Experimental Test of Dust Minimum Explosible Concentration
TL;DR: In this article, an extensive investigation on experimental test of dust minimum explosible concentration (MEC) was carried out by using the Siwek 20 L vessel, and the results reported in this work provide t he experimental basis and data guidance for the prevention and evaluation of dust explosion risk.
