Journal ArticleDOI

Evolution of dislocation structure induced by cyclic deformation in a directionally solidified cobalt base superalloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the cyclic deformation of a directionally solidified cobalt base superalloy at room temperature in air under the control of different total strain amplitudes was studied by TEM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructures and compressive properties of multicomponent AlCoCrFeNiMox alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Mo element on the structure and properties of AlCoCrFeNi alloy was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Age-hardening behavior of cast Al–Si base alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, double aging peaks are present in the age-hardening curves of Al-Si base alloys and the first peak is higher than the second one when aged at temperature above a certain temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and properties of multiprincipal component AlCoCrFeNiSix alloys

TL;DR: In this article, a non-metallic Si element is introduced to AlCoCrFeNiSi(x) alloys and the improvement of mechanical properties is attributed to the solid solution of Si element and precipitation strengthening of nanoscale cellular structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

TiZr-base Bulk Metallic Glass with over 50 mm in Diameter

TL;DR: In this paper, a class of low-cost TiZr-base bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) (Ti(36.1)Zr(33.2)Ni(5.8)Be(24.9))(100-x)Cu(x) (x=5, 7 and 9) with a maximum size of over 50 mm in diameter were developed by optimizing the alloy composition.
