TL;DR: The proposed system consists of many steps such as image acquisition, preprocessing, binarization, thresholding, segmentation, feature extraction, and neural network detection, which shows satisfactory results.
Abstract: Detection of lung cancer is the most interesting research area of researcher's in early stages. The proposed system is designed to detect lung cancer in premature stage in two stages. The proposed system consists of many steps such as image acquisition, preprocessing, binarization, thresholding, segmentation, feature extraction, and neural network detection. At first Input lung CT images to the system and then passed through the image preprocessing stage by using some image processing techniques. In first stage, Binarization technique is used to convert binary image and then compare it with threshold value to detect lung cancer. In second stage, segmentation is performed to segment the lung CT image and a strong feature extraction method has been introduced to extract the some important feature of segmented images. Extracted features are used to train the neural network and finally the system is tested any cancerous and noncancerous images. The performance of proposed system shows satisfactory results and proposed method gives 96.67% accuracy.

TL;DR: Based on performance factor SMO and Bayes Net techniques show optimum performances than the performances of KStar, Multilayer Perceptron and J48 techniques.
Abstract: Heart disease is considered as one of the major causes of death throughout the world. It cannot be easily predicted by the medical practitioners as it is a difficult task which demands expertise and higher knowledge for prediction. This paper addresses the issue of prediction of heart disease according to input attributes on the basis of data mining techniques. We have investigated the heart disease prediction using KStar, J48, SMO, Bayes Net and Multilayer Perceptron through Weka software. The performance of these data mining techniques is measured by combining the results of predictive accuracy, ROC curve and AUC value using a standard data set as well as a collected data set. Based on performance factor SMO and Bayes Net techniques show optimum performances than the performances of KStar, Multilayer Perceptron and J48 techniques.

TL;DR: The integration of the Arduino and GSM Short Message Service provide the meter reading system with some automatic functions that are predefined, and the project is able to provide all required services remotely for metering and billing with high fidelity.
Abstract: Every management system is trying to make automatic, portable and remote control. This work presents a novel smart energy meter for an automatic and superior metering and billing system. The integration of the Arduino and GSM Short Message Service (SMS) provide the meter reading system with some automatic functions that are predefined. Firstly, we have simulated the project in PROTEUS 8.0 then successfully implemented on the circuit board in laboratory. The proposed energy meter system can incorporate with embedded controller and GSM modem to transmit the data like consumed energy in kWh, generated bill, security services (line Cut/On) over GSM mobile network such as data can be then fed and integrated into existing energy management systems located at power companies or organizations to provide the services among the customers without man-power. Our implemented project is able to provide all required services remotely for metering and billing with high fidelity.

TL;DR: In this paper, a low-weight and low-cost autonomous flight capable UAV for delivering parcel ordered by online by using an android device as its core on-board processing unit.
Abstract: This paper represents Quadcopter (QC) as a low-weight and low-cost autonomous flight capable Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for delivering parcel ordered by online by using an android device as its core on-board processing unit. This QC by following Google map can locate and navigate destination. This paper demonstrates the QCs capability of delivering parcel ordered by online and coming back to the starting place. The promising result of this method enables future research on using QC for delivering parcel.

TL;DR: A comparative performance study of rectangular and circular shape microstrip patch antennas at an X band frequency is presented and it is found that the rectangular patch antenna shows about 3.0 dB higher return loss than the return loss of circular patch antenna.
Abstract: A comparative performance study of rectangular and circular shape microstrip patch antennas at an X band frequency is presented in this paper. The resonant frequency is chosen at 10 GHz which is suitable for a variety of wireless applications. CST Microwave Studio is used as the software environment to design and compare the performance of the antennas. It is found that the rectangular patch antenna shows about 3.0 dB higher return loss than the return loss of circular patch antenna. In addition, the rectangular patch antenna has an improved VSWR value of 1.18 than that of the circular patch with VSWR 1.27. However, circular patch antenna offers about 8% higher bandwidth and nearly 2.0dB less side lobe power than that of rectangular patch antenna.
