TL;DR: A newly designed distributed structured database HugeTable is proposed, which have the advantage of supporting very large scale of data and fast query speed and also have a good compatibility with the standard SQL query language.
Abstract: The demand of analyzing and processing mass data is increasing in recent years. Though several optimization versions developed, the traditional RDBMS still met a lot of difficulties when facing so huge volume of data. A newly designed distributed structured database HugeTable is proposed, which have the advantage of supporting very large scale of data and fast query speed. HugeTable also have a good compatibility with the standard SQL query language. The basic functions, system architecture and critical techniques are discussed in detail. The usability and efficiency are proved by experiments.

TL;DR: In this article, a solution for supporting cloud vehicle is proposed, which is based on the feasibility analysis of utilizing 5G TSN for transmitting V2X control signals deterministically, and the main cases include communication for V2V, V2N and vehicle mobility.
Abstract: With the development of 5G network, the research on 5G supporting autonomous driving is being carried out rapidly in the industry. Autonomous driving is a quite complex system, and Cloud Vehicle is high-level of Autonomous driving. The deterministic 5G network can be regarded as the first step towards Autonomous driving. Considering 5G is capable of providing high bandwidth, low latency, and deterministic transmission in the near future (3GPP R16), 5G supporting V2X is gaining industry recognition and the corresponding research is prevailing. In the paper, based on the analysis of typical V2X scenario, the requirements for 5G V2X of deterministic transmission and low latency are identified. Then a solution for supporting cloud vehicle is proposed, which is based on the feasibility analysis of utilizing 5G TSN for transmitting V2X control signals deterministically, and the main cases include communication for V2V, V2N and vehicle mobility.

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of intra-LP-mode dispersion (ILMD) on weakly-coupled FMF is investigated and the ILMD is evaluated for the first time.
Abstract: Weakly-coupled mode division multiplexing (MDM) technique based on linearly-polarized (LP) modes in ultralow-modal-crosstalk few-mode fibers (FMF) has been considered as a promising candidate for capacity enhancement of short-reach transmission applications. Similar to the polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in single-mode fibers (SMF), signals in weakly-coupled FMFs suffer from the influence of intra-LP-mode dispersion (ILMD). In this paper, the generation mechanism of ILMD is firstly analyzed and the mean ILMDs in a typical step-index circular-core FMF are calculated. Then numerical simulations are carried out to investigate its impact and the severe performance degradation indicates that it may be one of the major transmission impairments for intensity-modulation/direct-detection (IM/DD) MDM systems. Moreover, an Improved Fixed Analyzer Method (IFAM) is proposed for ILMD measurement, based on which a weakly-coupled FMF supporting 6 LP modes is measured. Experimental results show that the ILMD for each circularly-symmetric LP mode behaviors like PMD in a SMF, while it may be up to tens of times larger for the non-circularly-symmetric LP modes. This work evaluates for the first time the ILMD impact and is beneficial for the design of weakly-coupled FMFs and IM/DD MDM systems.

TL;DR: Four user satisfaction thresholds, multi-level user opinions, the user attention degree and their mapping to the parameters in EQoS, are obtained, providing useful guidelines for network plans, source productions and player deployment to network services providers like China Mobile.
Abstract: Although there are already QoE metrics for some types of multimedia services on Internet, in the area of multimedia services over 3G mobile Internet, only 3GPP defines QOE metrics for popular multimedia services. To find the user perception on these metrics, a subjective assessment framework is proposed, where distorted video samples are generated by mapping from a simple End-to-End QoS (EQoS) metric set, and a new subjective assessment method, User Satisfaction Threshold Measurement (USTM) is designed. Hereafter, to formulate the subjective assessment in a most natural way, a smart phone based QoE assessment system managing the distorted video samples of the metrics, implementing USTM, providing an online test agent on smart phone to let subjects join the test at any places, is designed. As the result of the subjective assessment, four user satisfaction thresholds, multi-level user opinions, the user attention degree and their mapping to the parameters in EQoS, are obtained, providing useful guidelines for network plans, source productions and player deployment to network services providers like China Mobile.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an out-of-manufacturing 5G edge network architecture based on Edge Computing and 5G LAN technologies, and an integrated solution for factory manufacturing to meet the requirements of both scenarios.
Abstract: Manufacturing factory is an important scenario of vertical industries served by 5G network and is generally categorized as outside and inside the factory building. In this paper, we first analyzed the network requirements of two scenarios, and introduced key 5G network technologies that can fit in. Then we proposed an Out-Factory 5G edge network architecture based on Edge Computing and 5G LAN technologies, an In-Factory 5G edge network architecture with high reliability, low latency and determinacy based on Edge Computing, URLLC and TSN technologies and an integrated solution for factory manufacturing to meet the requirements of both scenarios. Finally, we introduced the practical case of remote control of gantry crane based on 5G Edge Computing in reality. We found that the end-to-end control delay of the gantry crane was effectively reduced, the production efficiency was improved, and the safety of the manufacturing was also improved with less labor cost.
