Abstract: The North American genus Cerenopus is revised, and data is presented supporting the establishment of 2 subgenera : (1) Cerenopus , containing C. concolor LeConte, and (2) Longicerenopus , containing C. angustatus Horn, C. aterrimus Horn, C. hermanus n.sp., and C. punctatus n.sp. The species cribratus (LeConte) and costulatus (Horn), are removed from Cerenopus and transferred to the genus Argoporis . Descriptions, a key to subgenera and species, and distribution data are presented.
