Abstract: A connection device for connecting an optical fiber to an electrical device has a housing, a cable gland, and a plug for insertion into the corresponding socket of the electrical device, the housing having a cable passage for insertion of the optical fiber, the plug being held at least partially in the housing and being connectable to the fibers of the optical fiber which has been inserted into the cable passage. The housing has a first housing part for holding the plug and a second housing part for connection to the cable gland. The first and second housing parts are connectable in a manner enabling them to be axially moved relative to each other in the connected state by an extent defined by at least one stop on the second housing part that is engageable with at least one opposing stop on the first housing part.

Abstract: An electric connection clamp or terminal clamp for connecting a terminal conductor has a clamp spring and a metal part. The clamp spring has a clamp limb and a contact limb, a recess for introducing the electric conductor being formed in said contact limb. The clamp limb and the contact limb are curved in such a manner that the end of the clamp limb penetrates through the recess. The end of the clamp limb and the contact limb form a spring force clamping connection for the conductor that is to be connected. The ends of the limbs each have a securing section and the securing section of the contact limb extends counter to the direction of introduction of the conductor through the recess.

Abstract: This paper describes a novel method for layer-2 auto-configuration of realtime Ethernet networks. Our approach is able to roll out local MAC addresses to the involved devices as well as to discover the topology automatically on top of LLDP. The description of the complete network topology is realized with a minimum amount of data and includes a systematically propagation towards the topology manager. A model-driven development approach has been adopted to verify the concept by using simulation technique.

The control and data transmission installation (10) can be used to transmit the data which is to be transmitted from a control device (20) to a group of field devices (30, 40, 50) in a single total frame divided into data fields and to transmit the data which is to be transmitted from a multiplicity of field devices (30, 40, 50) to a control device (20) likewise in just one common total frame divided into data fields. This allows the transmission rate to be optimized in comparison with standard - Profinet - frames.

Both bus nodes are detachably fixed on a mounting rail such that they are arranged adjacent to one another in a row. The first and second bus nodes are respectively detachably connected to a bus receptacle, wherein each bus receptacle features an electrical mating connector that is coupled to the electrical connector of the respective bus node in the connected state in order to transmit energy, as well as a positioning device for positioning the respective bus node.

Zur schnellen und losbaren Verbindung derartiger Steckverbinder, bestehend aus Tullengehausen und Unterbaugehausen werden Verriegelungsbugel eingesetzt, die im Bereich der Bohrungen zur Aufnahme der Gelenkzapfen mit einem Federelement ausgestattet sind. Das im Verriegelungsbugel einstuckig mit diesem integrierte Federelement bewirkt eine permanente Zuhaltekraft auf den Zusammenschlus der Gehauseteile.

Each expansion slave module comprises a processing logic unit as well as respective first signal port and a respective equal number of second signal ports and an equal number of third signal ports which are arranged at identical positions of each expansion slave module. The first signal port is connected to the processing logic unit, to which at least one fourth signal port for connecting an input/output bus terminal subscriber belongs, and a respective second signal port is connected to a third signal port. The control master module likewise possesses a number of third signal ports and a control logic unit for data exchange with a data bus and for targeted driving of the signal ports.

Abstract: Synthetic surfaces, in particular polymer structures, which are used for electronic components, have to be inspected in industrial processes. Polymers show some specific surface characteristics. This a-priori knowledge is useable for the feature extraction of a surface texture and a following classification. The feature extraction is performed by using statistical information, calculated from sum and difference histograms, while the classification is executed by a fuzzy pattern classifier. A defect area can be recognized just on the basis of the tested image and without the need of any further reference learning data. The classification of a defect part is achieved by analyzing the divergence of the extracted feature values from their median related to the inspected area. Surfaces that contain an inconsistent texture will be rejected.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for parameterizing operating means connected to a data transmission medium. In this case, for at least several of the connected operating means, in each case, a device description will be stored in a central facility, each device description containing at least one function and the parameter set belonging thereto. In addition, a list of several predefined device functions will be stored in memory, for which the corresponding parameter set will be assigned each time to the operating means that support the device function. If a device function is selected, then in response to the selected device function, at least one operating means that supports this device function will be parameterized.

Abstract: The block (1) has a detent lug corresponding to a detent hook (18) of a detent arm (17) formed near to slots (12) e.g. sockets, at a terminal housing (6) of a base terminal. The lug engages the detent hook of the detent arm in the locked condition of a connection plug (3). A groove-like recess (22) is formed above the lug at the terminal housing. The groove-like recess is laterally limited by lower and upper bars (23, 24) running parallel to each other, and an identification label (25) is fixed between the bars. The lug is formed at a rear side of the lower bar directed to the recess.
