Abstract: By means of the openings in the buildings, direct solar radiation control is highly important in our latitudes so as avoid overheating problems in summer. However, such control has to be selective, restrictive in summer and of maxim efficiency in winter.
This paper deals with a calculation method on fixed solar Controls for walls facing any azimuthal orientation, according to their size. The results are shown in handy charts which allow the optimization of the sizing.
