TL;DR: A coordination architecture that subsumes leader-following, behavioral, and virtual-structure approaches to the multiagent coordination problem is introduced and illustrated through a detailed application of the ideas to the problem of synthesizing a multiple spacecraft interferometer in deep space.
Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of coordinating multiple spacecraft to fly in tightly controlled formations. The main contribution of the paper is to introduce a coordination architecture that subsumes leader-following, behavioral, and virtual-structure approaches to the multiagent coordination problem. The architecture is illustrated through a detailed application of the ideas to the problem of synthesizing a multiple spacecraft interferometer in deep space.

TL;DR: In this article, a steerable leaky-wave antenna is built using a mechanically tunable impedance surface, which couples energy into leaky transverse electric waves on a tunable textured ground plane.
Abstract: A steerable leaky-wave antenna is built using a mechanically tunable impedance surface. A horizontally polarized antenna couples energy into leaky transverse electric waves on a tunable textured ground plane. By tuning the resonance frequency of the surface, the band structure is shifted in frequency, which changes the tangential wave vector of the leaky waves for a fixed frequency. This steers the elevation angle of the resulting radiated beam. This steerable leaky-wave antenna can scan over a range of 45/spl deg/ using a mechanical movement of about 1/500 wavelength.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method and apparatus to automatically allocate and schedule weapon systems to threats for maximizing an engagement objective, which considers temporal and resource constraints such that the systems are able to engage threats assigned to them.
Abstract: Method and apparatus to automatically allocate and schedule weapon systems to threats for maximizing an engagement objective. In one aspect, methods and systems maximize threat killed. In another aspect, methods and systems maximize asset survival against threats. The methods and apparatus considers temporal and resource constraints such that weapons systems are able to engage threats assigned to them.

TL;DR: In this article, a deconfliction tool is coupled with a data repository that stores records describing airspace objects, such as routes to be taken by an aircraft, airspace regions, and/or corridors.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, an airspace deconfliction system includes a deconfliction tool coupled to a data repository that stores records describing airspace objects, such as routes to be taken by an aircraft, airspace regions, and/or corridors. The deconfliction tool determines conflicts in the geographic location of the one airspace object with the geographic location of at least one of the other airspace objects.

TL;DR: In this article, a radar system is provided that uses configurable radar control software, which can continually adapt over time to perform different types of radar mission by re-configuring the Radar control software with mission specific configuration data.
Abstract: A radar system is provided that uses configurable radar control software. The radar system may continually adapt over time to perform different types of radar mission by re-configuring the radar control software with mission specific configuration data. A configuration database may be provided to store the configuration data for retrieval during mission transition operations.
