TL;DR: In this article, a new Verfahren dargestellt, with tragheitsbedingte Momente infolge der ungleichmasigen Bewegung von Getriebegliedern vollstandig ausgleichen kann.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors put forward a third power B-spline finite strip method simulating cold strip rolling on a 4-high mill and computed results of the transverse distributions of the rolling pressure, the 2-directional friction stresses and the front and back tension stresses.
Abstract: This paper puts forward a third power B–spline finite strip method simulating cold strip rolling. For the cold strip rolling on a 4–high mill, the computed results of the transverse distributions of the rolling pressure, the 2–directional friction stresses and the front and back tension stresses are close to the experimental results. A new numerical method of simplicity, economy and utility has been developed for simulating cold strip rolling. The paper's results of large width/thickness of strip are of great importance to guiding the shape control of cold strip rolling.

TL;DR: An elastic-plastic method for determining the three-dimensional deformation and the transverse distribution of residual stress in cold rolling of strip is developed in this paper, theoretically based on an elastic- plastic variational principle in which the kinematically admissible velocity field is constructed with the lateral flow function as an unknown function.
Abstract: An elastic—plastic method for determining the three—dimensional deformation and the transverse distribution of residual stress in cold rolling of strip is developed. The analysis is theoretically based on an elastic — plastic variational principle in which the kinematically admissible velocity field is constructed with the lateral flow function as an unknown function. The deformation zone is divided into three parts: the elastic loading zone, the elastic — plastic loading zone and the elastic unloading zone. The stress distribution and volume strain distribution with respect to each zone are obtained by solving the simultaneous equations formed by the longitudinal differential equation of equilibrium and constitutive equations. The lateral flow function and the residual stress distribution after unlouding are finally determined by minimizing the total energy dissipation rate. Experimental investigations were carried out on a reversible cold mill. The residual stress distributions in the cold rolled strips were measured by a multi—roll segmented tension sensing shapemeter. The calculated results are in good agreement with the measured ones.
