TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the changes in the female labour force and find that the pool of manpower available in a country for the production of goods and services is determined by a variety of demographic, social and economic factors such as race composition of the population, the degree of urbanization, the proportion of married women and traditional attitudes towards working women and working children.
