TL;DR: Taxonomic revision based on both articulated skeletons and disarticulated bones from the Late Oligocene to Pliocene deposits of various European localities revealed that Prodiscoglossus vertaizoni Friant, 1944 is in fact the earliest known Latonia identical with that from the French locality Coderet, both of the Late Eligocene age.
78 citations
••
TL;DR: In this article, the changes in the distribution of the small mammals associations of the Pleistocene of Spain are used to make an environmental interpretation from this age to the present, taking into account the paleoenvironmental significance of some micromammals (Rodentia, Lagomorpha, Insectivora and Chiroptera).
68 citations
••
TL;DR: In this article, 3.4 profiles, 3 in the Sierra Madre Oriental and one 400 km farther NW in the Durango Basin have been measured and sampled in detail, in order to ascertain the stratigraphic position of the boundary between the La Casita and the Taraises Fms.
57 citations
••
TL;DR: In addition, des episodes de crise bien marques sont reperables a grande echelle and affect principalement les organismes benthiques a la limite Pliensbachien-Toarcien and dans le Toarciens inferieur (sommet de la zone a Tenuicostatum) as discussed by the authors.

••
TL;DR: A composite magnetic polarity pattern of the Portland and Purbeck Beds (Portlandian to Berriasian age) was constructed from nine sections in the Dorset and Wiltshire regions of southern England.
47 citations
••
TL;DR: In this article, the possibilities for the correlation of ammonites, calpionellids and calcareousnannofossils as recorded in the Puerto Escano section in Southern Spain (province of Cordoba), where a very detailed sampling was carried out.
39 citations
••
TL;DR: The oolitic ironstone level occurring at the Callovian-Oxfordian boundary across wide areas in the central IberianRange (Eastern Spain) is interpreted here as formed on an extended, very shallow to temporarity emerged, uniform carbonate platform as mentioned in this paper.
••
TL;DR: In this article, the authors suggest that the general retreat of trilobites was not caused but only accelerated by event-turnovers and that the changes emphasized in event-stratigraphic turnouts are clearly affected the development of Devonian trilsobites.
••
TL;DR: In the Queen Charlotte Islands, on the Pacific shore of Birtish Columbia, Canada, Triassic-Jurassic boundary beds are present in several well-exposed sections of the Sandilands Formation as mentioned in this paper.
••
TL;DR: In this article, the Sinemurian ammonoid succession of the Queen Charlotte Islands is subdivided into, in assending order, the Canadensis Zone, the “Coroniceras”, Arnouldi, Varians, Harbledownense, and Tetraspidoceras assemblages.
••
TL;DR: In the area of the Utcubamba Valley continuous sections containing sediments of Late Triassic (Rhaetian) to Early Jurassic (Hettangian) age were investigated.
••
TL;DR: The Oxfordien inferieur (zone a Mariae, sous-zones a Scarburgense and Praecordatum) is subdivised, grâce aux ammonites, en 6 unites biochronologiques.
••
TL;DR: The ammonite succession of Saudi Arabia established initially by Arkell (1952), completed by Imlay (1970) and recently refined by Enay & Mangold (1982-1984, 1985) and Enay et al. (1986, 1987a) was constructed largely by reference to the classic zones of Europe as discussed by the authors.
••
TL;DR: In this paper, Ellessont et al. propose a permettre de meilleures correlations entre regions and tenir compte des nouvelles precisions biostratigraphiques.
••
TL;DR: In this article, the lower part of the Red beds (El Mers Formation), Middle Jurassic in age, contains various microfossils which permit to reconstruct the palaeoenvironmental evolution of this area for this period.
••
TL;DR: A systematic revision of the Triassic endothyroid Foraminifera allows to describe the following taxa: Endotebidae, Endotriadidae, Endotebanella, and various species are emended.
••
TL;DR: In this article, the actualisation de l'inventaire de la faune ichthyologique de Cerin permet de degager le degre de certitude concernant l'identification of chaque taxon and l'etablissement of ses affinites phylogenetiques.
••
TL;DR: An essentially continuous Hettangian sequence has been found in Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia as discussed by the authors, which contains most genera found in the Hittangian faunas of Nevada as well as a few not found there.
••
TL;DR: Some Boreal/Subboreal ammonites have been discovered in two sections of the Middle/Upper Oxfordian of the Krakow - Wielun Upland, Central Poland, well documented by a Submediterranean ammonites.
••
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the typical taphonomic features of the fish of the Solnhofen Plattenkalk with regard to the palaeoenvironment and the diagenesis of these fish.
••
TL;DR: The new data on the ammonites faunas allow to specify the Cenomanian-Turonian biostratigraphy of the Niger during the transsaharian marine transgression with the description of two new horizons: Glabrum horizon and Wallsi horizon.
••
TL;DR: A negative correlation between fossil abundance and bioturbation rate suggests a change of the taphofacies within a single bed as mentioned in this paper, which points to changing burial and biotechnical processes during the formation of the Solothurn Limestone.
••
TL;DR: A preponderance of the Cytherellidae of the Platycopina is seen in all of the well-documented kenoxic events examined so far in the Mesozoic, as well as a distinct peak in numbers of metacopid ostracods in the Late Pliensbachian is taken to represent a dysaerobic environment.
••
TL;DR: This new record of Scarrittia in Uruguay widely extends the geographic range of the genus, which was previously known only in Patagonia, and supports previous referrals of the fauna to the Deseadan Land Mammal Age.
