TL;DR: In this article , the authors employed a descriptive-correlational research design participated by 235 pre-service teachers (PSTs) randomly sampled through strata and found a significant relationship among the level of awareness on plagiarism, knowledge on referencing and citation, and academic performance.
Abstract: Issues on plagiarism among pre-service teachers (PSTs) have increased in modular and online learning. To confirm this, the study determined the PSTs’ level of awareness on plagiarism; their knowledge on referencing and citation; and the correlation between their level of awareness on plagiarism and knowledge on referencing and citation, with their academic performance. The study employed a descriptive-correlational research design participated by 235 PSTs randomly sampled through strata. The data were gathered through a web-based survey. Results showed that the PSTs’ level of awareness of plagiarism was moderate, while the majority have fair knowledge in referencing and citation. Also, results showed a significant relationship among the level of awareness on plagiarism, knowledge on referencing and citation, and academic performance. It is recommended that institutions equip librarians and educators to teach PSTs about citation and referencing skills. Besides, the institution should make sure that a policy is implemented to pursue academic integrity. This policy must articulate the various types of plagiarism, plagiarism measurement, and fair and consistent disciplinary actions.

TL;DR: In this paper , a tracer study determined the demographic and academic profile of teacher education graduates from 2017 to 2020 in a state university in the West Philippines and ascertained the advanced studies they attended after college, their employment data, the relevance of college preparation with their current employment, difficulties they encountered while securing employment and in their present job, and recommendations to strengthen the teacher education program.
Abstract: Graduates' employability indicates the excellent education and relevant preparation they obtained from their respective degrees. Tracer studies have enabled higher education institutions to profile their graduates while also reflecting on the quality of education they provide. With the foregoing, a tracer study determined the demographic and academic profile of teacher education graduates from 2017 to 2020 in a state university in the West Philippines. It also ascertained the advanced studies they attended after college, their employment data, the relevance of college preparation with their current employment, difficulties they encountered while securing employment and in their present job, and recommendations to strengthen the teacher education program. The study utilized a descriptive survey research design with 80 non-random samples chosen based on availability. The survey was based on the Philippine Commission on Higher Education with modifications elucidated from previous studies. Results showed that graduates took the teacher education program with a strong passion for the teaching profession. More graduates received honors and awards, passed the licensure examinations for teachers, attended advanced studies for professional development, and are employable. Besides, the graduates’ college preparation is relevant to their current employment. Further, difficulties and problems encountered and recommendations to strengthen the teacher education program were noted. These findings may serve as a baseline for curriculum review and give suggestions for future tracer studies.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors assessed the effectiveness of a professional development program for junior high school mathematics teachers in the Philippines and analyzed their achievement test results in Mathematics and found that while most teachers were consistent in their lesson planning and content delivery, they need to improve their questioning techniques, differentiated techniques, and strategies to develop higher-order thinking skills.
Abstract: This study assessed the effectiveness of a professional development program for junior high school mathematics teachers in the Philippines and analyzed their achievement test results in Mathematics. The study aimed to identify the factors affecting the quality of mathematics instruction and propose solutions to these challenges. The study found that while most teachers were consistent in their lesson planning and content delivery, they need to improve their questioning techniques, differentiated techniques, and strategies to develop higher-order thinking skills. The study suggests that teachers need to enhance their teaching practices to achieve the K to 12 Curriculum goals, prepare students for better work opportunities, and contribute to the nation's economy. Professional development programs can provide opportunities for mathematics teachers to increase their knowledge and confidence in the subject. By improving their teaching practices, teachers can help enhance the quality of mathematics education in the Philippines. This study highlights the challenges mathematics teachers face in the country and the need for professional development programs to help them improve their teaching practices. The findings have important implications for mathematics education in the country, which can help raise the quality of education and the nation's economy.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors conducted a survey of 120 exporters and identified 10 critical factors that have a bearing on the sales promotion efforts of international marketing efforts, which need to be considered by exporters while working out their sales promotion strategies.
Abstract: Sales promotion in international marketing is somewhat different from domestic markets for a few reasons. Adequate information may not be available with the exporter to make sales promotion decisions. At the same time, customers from the foreign markets may not know the exporter and his products well. Further, the exporter might face resource constraints while executing sales promotion plans in the international markets. Thus, sales promotion in global marketing is a different ball game and requires an understanding of issues that impact the sales promotion plans in the international markets. In this paper, we enlist some such areas which need to be considered by exporters while working out their sales promotion strategies for the export markets. This has been done by way of a survey of 120 exporters. Ten critical factors have been identified that have a bearing on the sales promotion efforts of international marketing.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the association between Human Resource Management (HRM) practices and teachers' job satisfaction (JS) of private academic institutions in Olongapo City, Philippines.
Abstract: The objective of this research paper is to examine the association between Human Resource Management (HRM) practices and teachers' Job Satisfaction (JS) of private academic institutions in Olongapo City, Philippines. The investigators used a descriptive-correlation research design among 170 conveniently chosen respondents. The study used an adopted and modified research instrument wherein the gathered data underwent descriptive and inferential analysis. The study revealed that private academic institutions practice recruitment and selection processes, evaluate employee performance, provide training and development, appropriate compensation, career planning opportunities, and employee safety, health, and welfare. Furthermore, respondents were satisfied with their supervisors, coworkers, working conditions, compensation and responsibilities; job itself, advancement, security, and recognition. Inferential analysis revealed that the association between HRM practices and job satisfaction is highly significant. The investigators used human resources management practices and job satisfaction to develop a teacher retention framework based on these results.
