TL;DR: The results document the importance of idealized social media models—especially thin-ideal models for girls and muscular-ideals for boys—in shaping the body perceptions of adolescents, and the effects of pressure from the social media on body image concerns in men need to be further investigated.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess the relation between the experience of being alone and identity processes analysing the mediation role of adolescents' age and gender, and find that exploration is positively associated with affinity for aloneness and with peer and parent-related loneliness, while commitment was negatively related to these dimensions.
Abstract: The aim of this study was to assess the relation between the experience of being alone and identity processes analysing the mediation role of adolescents’ age and gender. The Ego Identity Process Questionnaire – EIPQ (Balistrieri, Busch-Rossnagel, & Geisinger, 1995) and the Louvain Loneliness Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents – LLCA (Marcoen, Goossens, & Caes, 1987) were administered to 181 high school adolescents and 141 university students, classed as late adolescents. Data revealed that, both in the interpersonal and ideological domains, exploration was positively related both with affinity for aloneness and with peer and parent-related loneliness, while in the interpersonal domains commitment was negatively related to these dimensions. Moreover, exploration was associated with a positive attitude to being alone, but not with peer-related loneliness in older individuals. Results supported the hypothesis proposed by Buchholz (1997), who defined “alonetime”, or the time spent in solitude, as an opportunity for exploration.

TL;DR: The findings of this study have underlined the importance of early positive indicators which, among the Autisms, could be defined a specific subpopulation that get better benefits from such a type of intervention.
Abstract: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder displaying individual impairments in social interaction, communication skills, interest and behaviours. In the last decade several studies have been published on the approaches that can be used with ASD children. This study illustrated the therapeutic approach of the DERRBI method, defined as a relational and body based intervention. The research described the symptoms and emotional development outcomes of ASD children aged 21–66 months, after 2 of the 4 years of planned therapy; the study group included both children who had received a diagnosis of autism and children (under 30 months) who had a risk of developing symptoms. Approximately 78% of the children with a more severe ASD symptomatology after two years of therapy maintained this diagnosis, instead, among children with a less severe ASD symptomatology, about the 67% after two years of therapy no longer fulfilled the ADOS-2 criteria for autism. Among the children who were at risk of developing the autistic symptomatology, about the 42% no longer showed this risk after 2 years of therapy. The improvements that the children showed in their ability to understand the intentions of others and to contact the emotions of others were also investigated. The findings of this study have underlined the importance of early positive indicators which, among the Autisms, could be defined a specific subpopulation that get better benefits from such a type of intervention.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined how academic dishonesty occurs in students studying in a religion-based college, and found that 28.1% of students did academic dishonest at the time of data collection, 18.8% at data analysis, and 3.5% when searching bibliography.
Abstract: Academic dishonesty is always interesting to be studied, the phenomenon is increasingly increasing even though regulations related to academic integrity have been made by each institution, including religious- based colleges. This study examines how academic dishonesty occurs in students studying in a religion- based college. Research focuses when working on thesis courses. The situation of working on a thesis is important because it is one of the final assignments of students and it has the highest credits. The phenomenological qualitative method is used to reveal more deeply the phenomenon. As many as 32 psychology students were respondents in this study. Data collection techniques using an open questionnaire form vignette and focus group discussion. Data is analyzed by interactive techniques. The results of the open questionnaire showed that 28.1% of students did academic dishonesty at the time of data collection, 18.8% at the time of data analysis and 3.1% when searching bibliography. While the results of the FGD stated that academic dishonesty was more in the quantitative rather than qualitative type of research with the form of changing data and making their own data according to the wishes of the supervisor without being known. Academic dishonesty was motivated by a number of factors including supervisor who did not direct the problem of finding library resources, following the demands of the supervisor, and not getting practical knowledge in analyzing research data. The implications of this research can be used as a background for making special academic integrity rules when working on a thesis.
