TL;DR: In this article , the bottom of the absorber plate was given w-rib roughness to improve the electrical efficiency, thermal efficiency, and overall performance of the PV/T system.
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of improving electrical (cell) efficiency, thermal efficiency, and overall performance by adding w-rib roughness to the bottom of the absorber plate. the bottom of the absorber plate being given w-rib roughness. Based on a mathematical simulation of the PV/T system as a function of pertinent geometrical parameters, such as relative roughness pitch, relative roughness height, and angle of attack, as well as design parameters, such as temperature rise and insolation, the performance parameters—enhancement of electrical efficiency, thermal efficiency, and overall performance—have been assessed. The system was examined using this simulation in relation to important geometrical factors. The results show that adopting w-rib roughness yields a significant improvement over the performance metrics obtained using smooth absorber plates.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors have worked upon this fundamental with the help of certain proposed models, which have been supplemented with numerical examples, and the results are supplemented with some numerical examples.
Abstract: With every up-gradation made in the software there are chances that the number of new faults might creep in the software. This concept has been readily worked upon in the past and is still an active area of research. Software industry has been readily evolving with time and has seen many advancements wherein innovation rate and creation of knowledge has played a pivotal role for continued growth of firms. Often, the use of coming up with new set of features in the base product has brought in answers to many user’s queries. But these up-gradations also known as add-ons also bring in certain new flaws in the software system which is newly created. In the current paper, this fundamental has been worked upon with the help of certain proposed models. Results are supplemented with numerical examples.

Abstract: We propose using the irregular loading fatigue testing to study the crucial topics of the subject, for instance, concerning the fatigue limit. This characteristic is important to know (1) for test accelerating; (2) To guarantee stable, reliable service. Comparative studies under block and random loading present an opportunity to draw conclusions without the ultra-sound frequencies loading, which are at some extend controversial. We present an example of proposed method application. The second stage of fatigue – namely, the crack propagation stage, is also considered (in reference). There the main idea is similar – the irregular testing provides an opportunity to judge about the maxim among the small amplitudes, which are not harmful. Direct experimental estimation of true fatigue limit requires the testing under ultra-sound frequencies, which is not under the questions nowadays.

TL;DR: In this paper , a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm named MOPSO-CD has been employed to get various Pareto Optimal Fronts (POFs) in accordance with different parameter tuning.
Abstract: Dealing with the conflicting objectives in reliability analysis of complex engineering systems is always a challenging task. Here, we have taken two conflicting objectives namely reducing cost and increasing the reliability of a complex reliability system named life support system in space capsule (LS3C) into consideration. A novel multi-objective evolutionary algorithm named MOPSO-CD has been employed to get various Pareto Optimal Fronts (POFs) in accordance with different parameter tuning. The simulation results so obtained provide a wide range of varieties of POFs to decision maker (DM).

TL;DR: Radial Orthogonal Median LBP (ROM-LBP) as discussed by the authors replaces the raw pixels intensity with the median of the radial points in each orthogonal position of the two separate groups.
Abstract: LBP and majority of its variants performs extremely well in front of moderate light variations. But when light variations becomes severe then performance of LBP and its variants is not satisfactory. Therefore there is a need of the more promising and impressive descriptor which performs well in harsh light variations. To complement these LBP based descriptors the proposed work launches the novel descriptor for Face Recognition (FR) in harsh lightning variations. This proposed descriptor is called as Radial Orthogonal Median LBP (ROM-LBP). The main demerit of these LBP based descriptors is that they all consider the uniform coordination between the neighbors and center pixel. Which mean raw pixel intensity is used for the comparison with the center pixel. The proposed work eliminates this problem in the introduced descriptor ROM-LBP, by replacing the raw pixels intensity with the median of the radial points in each orthogonal position of the two separate groups. The generated median is then used for comparison with the center pixel. The respective codes obtained from both the groups are concatenated to form the ROM-LBP size. As region feature extraction is done therefore ROM-LBP develops the large feature size. To make more effective descriptor, the services of FLDA is used and then classification was conducted by SVMs. Experiments conducted on EYB and YB datasets demonstrates the ability of the proposed ROM-LBP against various LBP and non-LBP based descriptors.
