TL;DR: In this article, a survey of students from three different universities in three different countries (Indonesia, Japan and Norway) showed that entrepreneurial intentions among the students and the influencing factors differ across countries.
Abstract: Survey towards 332 students from three different universities in three different countries (Indonesia, Japan and Norway) shows that entrepreneurial intentions among the students and the influencing factors differs across countries. The main objective is to compare the impact of different economic and cultural contexts. Results reveals that self-efficacy influence entrepreneurial intention among Indonesian and Norwegian students. Instrumental readiness and working experience become key factors that influence entrepreneurial intention among Norwegian students. Educational background becomes a key factor that influence entrepreneurial intention among Indonesian students, in the opposite direction. Need for achievement, age and gender have no statistically significant impact. However, they only explain 28.2 percent, 14.2 percent, and 24.8 percent (R2) of the total variance of the entrepreneurial intention for Indonesia, Japan and Norway respectively. This study is expected to be inputs for universities, government institutions, and policy makers so that can stimulate and encourage entrepreneurship spirit.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe and analyze the concept of brand loyalty to the extent to which attitudinal and behavioural approaches and structures become the loyalty domain and show elements comprising cognition, affect, conation, and action.
Abstract: Customer loyalty of a specific brand, also called brand loyalty, is expected to get more academic attention from scholars to investigate. This article describes and analyses the concept of brand loyalty to the extent to which attitudinal and behavioural approaches and structures become the loyalty domain. The structure of loyalty shows elements comprising cognition, affect, conation, and action. These elements reflect loyalty categories. Techniques of loyalty measurement such as brand choice sequence, proportion of purchase, brand preference, brand commitment, loyalty scale, and acceptance/rejection ratio are also elaborated. Customer satisfaction is not disregarded in the analysis since it closely relates to the concept of brand loyalty.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the influence of individual and situational factors on the whistle-blowing intentions among lower-level civil servants in Indonesia and proposed a conceptual model based on the theory of planned behaviour.
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to examine empirically the influence of individual and situational factors on the whistle-blowing intentions among lower-level civil servants in Indonesia. This research proposes a conceptual model where individual and situational factors influence the whistle-blowing intention among lower-level civil servants. More precisely this study used three variables as individual factors based on the theory of planned behaviour (the attitude toward whistle-blowing, the subjective norm, and the perceived behavioural control). Two vignettes were used to manipulate three situational factors (the seriousness of wrongdoing, the status of the wrongdoer, and the personal cost of reporting). A survey questionnaire was distributed to 106 civil servants from government institutions in Indonesia by using convenience sampling. There are six hypotheses that were tested by using multiple regression analysis. This research found that individual and situational factors successfully predicted a whistleblowing intention. Specifically, research results indicate there are five antecedents of whistleblowing intention among lower-level civil servants in Indonesia labelled: the attitude toward whistle-blowing, the subjective norm, the perceived behavioural control, the seriousness of wrongdoing, and the status of the wrongdoer. Further implications for practice and research are also discussed. Keywords: whistle-blowing intention, lower-level civil servants, theory of planned behaviour, individual factors, situational factors.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the impact of ownership structure and some control variables on corporate debt policy (debt ratio) in an agency theory context and found that insider ownership and institutional investor to be significant and negative determinants of the corporate debt ratio.
Abstract: This study examines the impact of ownership structure and some control variables on corporate debt policy (debt ratio) in an agency theory context. Control variables are dividend payment, firm size, asset structure, firm profitability and tax rate. This study is based on the previous study by Moh’d et al., (1998), which found that ownership structure of the firms’s equity (insider ownership, shareholder dispersion and institutional investor) is important in explaining corporate debt policy in a agency theory context. This study is focused on all firm listed on Jakarta Stock Exchange, except financial and insurance firms from 1992 to 1996. The method of analysis is using pooling. The method of data collection is purposive sampling. There are 100 firms year observation. The result of the study shows that insider ownership and institutional investor to be significant and negative determinant of the corporate debt policy (debt ratio). It also indicates that shareholder dispersion is insignificant determinant of debt ratio. Keywords: Debt Ratio, Ownership Structure, Agency Theory, Insider Ownership, Shareholder Dispersion and Institutional Investor.
