TL;DR: A comprehensive review of mantid taxonomy is attempted, including descriptions of taxa, various developmental stages, notes on habitat preference in relation to temperature, altitude, vegetation and other factors, and observations on offensive, defensive, prey capture and copulatory behaviour.
Abstract: A comprehensive review of mantid taxonomy is attempted, including descriptions of taxa, various developmental stages, notes on habitat preference in relation to temperature, altitude, vegetation and other factors, and observations on offensive, defensive, prey capture and copulatory behaviour. Biological observations on mortality, colour pattern of various instars and their significance, oxygen consumption and data on morphometrics of some species are provided. The patterns of distribution within India and in relation to the Oriental Region and other zoogeographic regions is also discussed. A total of 162 species under 68 genera of mantids from India are listed, of which 118 species are studied and others reviewed from literature. Two new genera (Pseudothespis, Parananomantis) and ten new species (Acromantis nicobarica, Axaxarcha intermedia, Leptomantis nigrocoxata, Pseudothespis meghalayensis, Nanomantis lactea, Parananomantis brevis, Hierodula (H.) assamensis, H. (H.) beieri, H. (H.) nicobarica...

Abstract: A check-list of the Odonata so far reported from India is given, listing 3 suborders, 17 families, 139 genera and 499 species and subspecies. Synonymous specific epithets are included and distribution is shown State-wise. Species of which the larval morphology or the life-history is known, are listed separately. A brief note on an endangered species, Epiophlebia laidlawi is given.

TL;DR: Four species of Encarsia, two of which are described as new, are assigned to the flavoscutellum species-group, which is diagnosed and their distributions and host relationships are summarized.
Abstract: Four species of Encarsia, two of which are described as new, are assigned to the flavoscutellum species-group, which is diagnosed. Encarsia cerataphivora Evans, sp. nov. and Encarsia noordami Polaszek, sp. nov. are described from Cerataphis brasiliensis (Hempel) from Thailand, and from Astegopteryx nipae (van der Goot) from Malaysia, respectively. Encarsia flavoscutellum Zehntner and Encarsia thoracaphis (Ishii) are redescribed. A key is provided to separate these four species, and their distributions and host relationships are summarized.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Indian species of Gonatocerus Nees are revised and a new species-group (asulcifrons-group) is proposed for two Indian species.
Abstract: The Indian species of Gonatocerus Nees are revised. Thirty-nine valid species are recognized from India, including eleven species described as new in this paper. The Indian species are referred to three already known species-groups (ater-, sulphuripes-, litoralis-gioxips), and a new species-group (asulcifrons-group) proposed here for two Indian species. Separate keys to the species-groups and to species of three groups are given. The present study led to the proposal of 13 specific synonymies. Also five species are recorded from India for the first time, one species (kodaianus) described in Ooctonus Haliday is transferred to Gonatocerus as a new combination, and one species, G. longicrus Kieffer, is regarded as insertae sedis.

Abstract: In the summer of 1992 reports began circulating within the United States entomological community of Federal wildlife agents searching insect collections, both institutional and personal, and seizing specimens. It was during this period that the words “Lacey Act” first came to the attention of most entomologists.
