TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the experience accumulated at Turboatom research and production association in designing the last stages of large condensing steam turbines using the results of analytical and experimental research.
Abstract: This paper describes the experience accumulated at Turboatom research and Production Association in designing the last stages of large condensing steam turbines using the results of analytical and experimental research. These studies, as well as operating experience, prove that the designed stages are highly efficient and reliable. The paper presents detailed characteristics of a wide variety of turbine stages that are already in operation at thermal and nuclear power stations, as well as of those newly developed.

Journal Article
TL;DR: Calculation of the settings of microprocessor-based digital control systems is considered by using analog systems theory and accounting for the effects of time sampling.
Abstract: Calculation of the settings of microprocessor-based digital control systems is considered by using analog systems theory and accounting for the effects of time sampling. The conditions for applying the Kotel'nikov-Shannon theorem to problems in control theory are defined more exactly

Journal Article
TL;DR: In this article, a staged solid-fuel combustion is proposed to minimize nitric oxide emissions with the flue gases at boiler installations, and the concept of staged solid fuel combustion is used to minimize the nitric dioxide emissions with flue gas at boiler installation.
Abstract: A concept of staged solid-fuel combustion is proposed to minimize nitric oxide emissions with the flue gases at boiler installations

Journal Article
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of an investigation of heat transfer and hydrodynamics in evaporators working with a low liquid level in the downcomer slot are presented, and a technique for the thermohydraulic design of such conditions is given.
