Abstract: The chitosan-starch-sodium benzoate blend films were prepared by solution method, and then characterized by FT-IR, XRD, transmittancy, percent water absorption, measurement of mechanical properties and antimicrobial activity. The results suggested that there was some strong interaction and good compatibility in the blend films. The starch content in the blend films can improve the mechanical properties of them, the tensile strength values increased by 31.9% in dry state and 26.4% in wet state when the chitosan content was 60%. The antimicrobial activity of blend films increased as sodium benzoate was added to the films, In one week, the antimicrobial activity against St.aureus and E.coli of the blend films increased by 10.4% and 31.2% each when the chitosan content was 80%.

Abstract: The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) of chitosan, thymol and their complexes were evaluated against Staphylococcua aureus, Staphylococcua epidermis, Corynebact xerosics, Escherichia coli, Bacterium aeruginosa and Candida albicans. The effect of conditions such as concentration, pH value, emulsion were also studied. Results showed that, the complex 0.5 g/L chitosan and 0.125 g/L thymol could inhibit growth of all the tested microorganisms, and the inhibitory time of the complex is longer than that of chitosan and thymol. These resluts demonstrated that the complexes of chitosan and thymol significantly impoved the antimicrobial activity. The effect of conditions indicated that the complexes of 0.5 g/L chitosan and 0.125 g/L or 0.25 g/L thymol inhibited growth of all the microorganisms tested for a longer time. The complexes of chitosan and thymol had stronger inhibitory effects normally in weak acid condition. Inhibitory effects of thymol emulsion made by adding tween-80 and the complexes of chitosan and thymol emulsion were better than those made by adding span-20.

Abstract: Ratio edge detector for SAR images can provide high overall edge\|detection probability. But it has defects on the accuracy of edge\|position determination. This paper works deeply on how to determinate the threshold of Ratio edge detector. Then we present a new detector aiming at detecting “weak” edges with threshold of it. A new combined algorithm including both of the two detectors is presented. Its processing results of actual SAR images show wonderful edge\|detection performance and high accuracy of edge\|position determination.

Abstract: Reuse as one of the targets in software development can alter the current situation of low development efficiency and poor reliability in the production of software The reusable test can similarly resolve the problems arising from the repeated development in the process of using reuse and so as to advance the applications of reuse in the software development process In this paper, at first, we analyze the common characteristics of test cases, and then, divide them into two classes: state inspection test cases and state comparison test cases based on their designing methods And after that, we get a detail description of the two classes And we provide a theoretical model for generating and executing pattern, and make the test cases being independent of the software to be tested and reach the testing reuse target

Abstract: Three methods have been established for the synthesis of 1,1,1-tris (trimethylsiloxy) methacryloxypropyl silane,which was characterized by ~(1)H NMR spectrum and IR spectrum. Compared with other reported methods, the one-pot method can increase the yield by 10% and decrease the producing costs by 30%. Under conditions of this one-pot method,the yield of the product is over 60% and the purity is over 98%.

Abstract: Chitosan nanoparticles have promising potential application for the administration of therapeutic protein, gene and antigens by various routes. The preparation of chitosan nanoparticles of low molecular weight, based on ionic crosslinking process of chitosan with polyanion sodium tripolyphosphate(TPP), was performed, which was under a certain concentration and volume ratio and extremely mild condition at room temperature. The morphological examination was performed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), FT-IR and X-ray diffraction pattern to characterize the structure of the nanoparticles. The effects of adding PEG in crosslinking medium on the size, encapsulating, loading and release properties of nanoparticles were studied. The results indicate that the nanoparticles have a high BSA encapsulation efficiency, which is about 90%, and provides a slow continuous release for the entrapped protein using bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a model protein drug. BSA release is up to 8 days in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer saline. Chitosan nanoparticles with low and high molecular weight are about 20 nm and 210 nm in size, 91.1% and 93.2% in encapsulation efficiency of BSA, 73.9% and 17.6% in total release percent in 8 days respectively. Adding PEG decreases encapsulation efficiency of BSA and accelerates release rate.

The results show that the fluorescent receptor has a high selectivity and fluorescence responsibility to AcO~-. (It's) binding abilities to several anions follow the order: AcO~-p-NO_2C_6H_4OPO~(2-)_3,H_2PO~-_4Cl~-.

Abstract: This paper tests the fractal dimension of Shanghai stock market through the neural networks from the point view of forecasting. Through a data experiment of radial basis function neural network, we find that the optimal embedding dimension is 6. As a result the fractal dimension of Shanghai stock market is about in the interval between 2 and 3. Therefore, the stock market is a chaotic system, and we must take the nonlinear analytical instruments. Finally, we discuss the effect and the reliability of the stock prediction based on chaotic characteristic.

Abstract: accessions in Amygdalus were studied by RAPD(random amplified polymorphic DNA) technology, of which the rootstock group and the shouxingtao group, bitao group, weeping peach group, red-leaf peach group, crisp peach group, mitao group, honey peach group, pantao group, nectarine group and yellow peach group(A. persica) were analyzed with polymorphic bands, marker frequency of loci, variant coefficient and correlated coefficient. The results indicated that the shouxingtao group, weeping peach group, red-leaf peach group and bitao group were more original, while the crisp peach group, mitao group, honey peach group, pantao group, nectarine group and yellow peach group more evaluated. As for the genetic diversity, the rootstock group was highest, and the red leaf peach group, mitao group, pantao group and yellow peach group were the next; while the shouxingtao group, bitao group, weeping peach group, crisp peach group and honey peach group were the lowest.

Abstract: There are synergistic interactions between the ammonium hydroxy-propyl-trimethyl chloride of the polysaccharide guar gum and xanthan gum which makes them form gels. The effects of the quantitative ratio of them, mixed temperature,incubation time,balk salt ion concentration and pH value on gelation have been studied.It has been observed that there was a gel strength maximum when the quantitative ratio was 20∶80,the mixed temperature was 60℃, the incubation time was 30 min, the salt ion concentration was 1.0 mol·L -1; and the optimal pH value was 7.0. Interation between molecules of these two polysaccharides was investigated by FTIR spectrometry.

Abstract: By using neural network method, under the condition of that some information about rank of the mixture matrix is known, we present a condition of extraction. By using the condition, one can extract some blind signals from the observed signals, when the number of observed signals less than the number of blind signals. A theoretical necessary and sufficient condition of extractability is given. The structure of the neural network and the method of extraction are proposed in detail.

Abstract: The evolution of the Dongting Lake affected by both natural process and human activity, and it also influence the eco-environmental safety of the middle Yangtze River region. Sedimentation makes lake change to shallow and capacity decreased. Sediment was recovered by 22 vibrocores in different lake sectors, high sedimentation rates revealed by ~(210)Pb measurement in different subfacies of the lake, the highest up to 2.33 cm/a. primarily due to siltation by Yangtze sediment. In the late 19~(th) century, a major flood induced channel avulsion resulted in the coupling of the Four-Tributary' sub-basin to Dongting Lake, causing a massive increase in sediment supply into the lake since then. Hydrological data demonstrate that about 83% of the lake's annual sediment influx is derived from the Yangtze. In addition, pressures from a growing population and associated human activities, such as reclamation, embanking, aquaculture, forming on slope and deforestation, the Dongting Lake has lost almost two thirds of its total area in the past century, and loss the storage capacity of the Yangtze floods.

Abstract: In the paper we consider the problem of genome rearrangements of the unoriented gene by reversals in molecular biology.It is a NP-hard problem.Based on the concept of a breakpoint graph, we develop an approximation algorithm for problem.The algorithm has an O(max{b~3(π),nb(π)}) time complexity and an O(n) space complexity, where n is the number of genes in genome,π=(π_1,π_2,...,π_n) is a permutation of n genes and b(π) is the number of breakpoints in permutation π.The experiments show that in most cases, our approximation algorithm can find a better solution than the one obtained by the approximation algorithm of Kececioglu and Sankoff.

Abstract: The definition of optimal invertible linear transformation is generalized to general field. The theorem of existence for optimal invertible linear transformation over general field, an invertible linear transformation is optimal if and only if every sub-matrix of its corresponding matrix is invertible, is given without any knowledge of code theory. A formula in the algorithm of Sugita, Kobara, Uehara, et al. for computing differential and truncated differential of word-oriented block cipher is simplified. A new property of AES, the system presents the same strength against differential attack when implementing the Mix-column transformation of AES with any optimal invertible circular matrix of suitable size, is found with this simplified formula. The design for Mix-column transformation of AES is reasonable since the Mix-column of AES is optimal invertible linear transformation and the entries (01, 02 and 03) in its corresponding matrix are easy to implement with software or hardware.

Abstract: This paper aims at reviewing the development of nitrogen oxides(NO x) chemical sensors, which are classified into four main types: surface acoustic wave (SAW) NO x sensors, optical fiber NO x sensors,semiconductor NO x sensors and electrochemical NO x sensors. The emphasis is put on the electrochemical NO x sensors and the feasibility is dicussed for determination of nitrogen oxides using solid polymer electrolyte.

Abstract: By mutagenizing with Co~(60)-γ-rays and subsequent enzyme production condition optimization, a mutant strain Bacillus licheniformis L106 was obtained from B. licheniformis C6. Around 19 000 U/mL of the enzyme productivity could usually be achieved by the strain, which was 1.9 fold higher than that achieved by the strain C6. Compared to the start strain C6, L106 has higher substantial application potential since it shortened the enzyme production period while still kept the merit of forming less spores during enzyme fermentation, and the optimal reaction pH and temperature of the produced enzyme were also unchanged.

Abstract: The cDNA fragments of ribosomal protein L15 (RPL15) were cloned respectively from Rana nigromaculata and Coturnix coturnix japonica by RT-PCR. The two cDNA fragments are individually composed of 467 bp and 408 bp, encoding a protein fragment of 155 aa and another one of 136 aa. Alignment analysis indicated that both the two nucleotide sequences and the deduced amino acid sequences show high identity to other known rpl15 sequences from vertebrates. The two cDNA sequences were used to construct phylogenetic trees with other known vertebrate rpl15 sequences, and the obtained trees demonstrated similar topology with the classical systematics.
