A calculation method of earth pressure considering displacement

TLDR
According to Rankine theory of earth pressure, and analysis of relationship between active and passive and static earth pressure and displacement of retaining wall, an approximate calculation method for earth pressure considering displacement is presented in this article.
Abstract
According to Rankine抯 theory of earth pressure, and analysis of relationship between active and passive and static earth pressure and displacement of retaining wall, an approximate calculation method of earth pressure considering displacement is presented. The rule of earth pressure varying with displacement presented in this paper is well comparable with the results of the finite element analysis.

A general method to calculate passive earth pressure on rigid retaining wall for all displacement modes

TL;DR: In this article, a general analytical method to calculate the passive rigid retaining wall pressure was deduced considering all displacement modes, and the analytical results showed that the resultant forces of the passive earth pressure are equal to those of Coulomb's theory.

Calculation of Displacement-Dependent Active Earth Pressure for Deep Excavations in Soft Soil

TL;DR: In this article , a displacement-dependent earth pressure model was proposed with the assumption of the soil strain distribution in the disturbed area, which confirmed that the earth pressure along the entire wall could not achieve its active conditions simultaneously.
Journal ArticleDOI

Estimation of Active Earth Pressure on Retaining Wall with Translation Mode

TL;DR: Considering the movement effect of translation mode, friction angle reduction coefficient and method of bevel-layer analysis, estimation of active earth pressures is deduced for cohesiveless soil retaining wall with translation mode as discussed by the authors.

The Essence Stress and Non-Ultimate State in Earth Works

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of the deformation of the undisturbed soil, the effect of initial stress on the shear strength, the non-ultimate character state and characterization methods under the normal working state, the yield and the stress path for un-disturbed and disturbed soils were discussed.

The Study on Earth Pressure Against Retaining Wall Considering Displacement

TL;DR: Several typical existing calculation methods of earth pressure considering displacement are introduced and compared; typical methods are used to calculate the condition of laboratory tests and the result is compared with that from Rankine earth pressure results to explain which is more reasonable as mentioned in this paper.
