TLDR
In this paper, a text on rings, fields and algebras is intended for graduate students in mathematics, aiming the level of writing at the novice rather than at the expert, and by stressing the role of examples and motivation.
Abstract
This text, drawn from the author's lectures at the University of California at Berkeley, is intended as a textbook for a one-term course in basic ring theory. The material covered includes the Wedderburn-Artin theory of semi-simple rings, Jacobson's theory of the radical representation theory of groups and algebras, prime and semi-prime rings, primitive and semi-primitive rings, division rings, ordered rings, local and semi-local rings, and perfect and semi-perfect rings. By aiming the level of writing at the novice rather than at the expert, and by stressing the role of examples and motivation, the author has produced a text which is suitable not only for use in a graduate course, but also for self-study by other interested graduate students. Numerous exercises are also included. This graduate textbook on rings, fields and algebras is intended for graduate students in mathematics.

Theory of Complex Functions

TL;DR: The Cauchy-Weierstrass-Riemann function theory short biographies literature as discussed by the authors is a collection of biographies of function theory and its applications in the literature.
Book

Monoidal Functors, Species, and Hopf Algebras

TL;DR: Benabou, Eilenberg, Kelly and Mac Lane as discussed by the authors proposed the notion of a bilax monoidal functor which plays a central role in this work and showed how ideas in Parts I and II lead to a unified approach to Hopf algebras.

Regular Functions of a Quaternionic Variable

TL;DR: In this article, the authors define and define the regular power series, finite products, singularities, spherical series, integral representation, fractional transformations, unit ball, and integral representation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Slice regular functions on real alternative algebras

TL;DR: In this article, a theory of slice regular functions on a real alternative algebra A is developed based on a well-known Fueter's construction, which permits to extend the range of these function theories and to obtain new results, including a strong form of the fundamental theorem of algebra for an ample class of polynomials with coefficients in A and a Cauchy integral formula for slice functions of class C 1.

Leavitt Path Algebras

TL;DR: The concept of Leavitt path algebras was introduced by Abrams and Aranda Pino in [AA1] and Ara, Moreno and Pardo in [AMP] as mentioned in this paper.
