Abstract
This paper describes an inductive magnetization sensor, designed to measure thin superconducting films (of order 3000 A) in very strong magnetic fields. For magnetic fields in the range 250–500 kG, the sensitivity of the probe is 10−2 emu. Accuracy and high sensitivity were obtained by combining a sample extraction system, vibration isolation, and an inductive sensor with optimized flux coupling geometry. The magnetic flux coupling to the sensor was verified to exceed 70%, both by calculation and experimental calibration.

Magnetization of Mn 1–x Fe x Si in high magnetic fields up to 50 T: Possible evidence of a field-induced Griffiths phase

Abstract: Magnetic properties of single crystals of Mn1–x Fe x Si solid solutions with x < 0.2 are investigated by pulsed field technique in magnetic fields up to 50 T. It is shown that magnetization of Mn1–x Fe x Si in the paramagnetic phase follows power law with the exponents M(B) ~ B α, which starts above characteristic fields B c ~ 1.5-7 T depending on the sample composition and lasts up to highest used magnetic field. Analysis of magnetization data including SQUID measurements in magnetic fields below 5 T suggests that this anomalous behavior may be likely attributed to the formation of a field-induced Griffiths phase in the presence of spin-polaron effects.

Field-induced transitions of the intermetallic compound DyMn2Ge2

TL;DR: In this article, the magnetization of the free-powdered intermetallic compound DyMn 2 Ge 2 has been studied in steady and pulsed magnetic fields in the temperature range between 7 and 70 K. Several new field-induced magnetic phase transitions are observed, and the magnetic phase diagram in the field-temperature plane is constructed.
