Journal ArticleDOI

Impacts of environment and human activity on grid-scale land cropping suitability and optimization of planting structure, measured based on the MaxEnt model.

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper used geographic distribution information on different crops and the Maximum Entropy (MaxEnt) model to determine the degree of suitability of land in SRB for cropping, and to optimize the layout of crop planting structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of Different Spatial Precipitation Input Data on Crop Model Outputs under a Central European Climate

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the effect of different precipitation inputs on wheat and barley yield at a spatial resolution of around 25 km using Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT).
Journal ArticleDOI

A plant-based extract mixture for controlling Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

TL;DR: The results indicated that the ethanolic crude extracts of P. retrofractum and A. calamus mixtures could be used as the pesticidal compound and to develop a binary mixture formulation for controlling lepidopteran pests, but the toxicity of this mixture to mammals needed to be explored before commercial development.
Journal ArticleDOI

Land management in Mexican sugarcane crop fields

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the ability of Mexican sugarcane farms to provide raw material in order to achieve a better sustainability and competiveness of sugar industry, which requires a multidisciplinary approach, such as Precision Agriculture (PA), Remotely Sensed yield estimation and Agro Ecological Zoning (AEZ), focused at regional and local scale, considering the biophysical constraints to improve the sustainable and competitive of sugar production in Mexico.
