An order level inventory model under two level storage system with fuzzy demand
TLDR
A fuzzy inventory model with two ware houses (one is the existing storage known as own warehouse and the other is hired on rental basis known as rented warehouse) is developed, which allows constant levels of item deterioration in both houses.Abstract:
Deterministic inventory model with two levels of storage has been studied by numerous authors. In this paper we developed a fuzzy inventory model with two ware houses (one is the existing storage known as own warehouse (OW) and the other is hired on rental basis known as rented warehouse (RW). The model allows constant levels of item deterioration in both houses. The stock is transferred from RW to OW in continuous release pattern and the associated transportation cost is taken into account. To make the model more realistic in nature, fuzzy demand has been considered. Using α-cut for defuzzification, the total variable cost per unit time is derived. Therefore, the problem is reduced to crisp annual costs. The multi-objective model is solved by Global Criteria Method supported by GRG(Generalized Reduced Gradient) Technique, which is illustrated by a numerical example. An inventory model for deteriorating items
TL;DR: In this article, an alternative methodology for obtaining the optimum characteristics of Mak's deteriorating production-inventory model is presented, where the exact average total cost expression for the production lot-size model with constant deterioration has been obtained, and then through a classical computerized search routine the optimum production cycle time and the optimum total inventory cycle time is determined.

Two-warehouse inventory models for deteriorating items with shortages under inflation
TL;DR: Comparing these two two-warehouse inventory models, the study shows that the proposed model is less expensive to operate than the traditional one in the case of the inflation rate is greater than zero.

A deterministic order level inventory model for deteriorating items with two storage facilities
TL;DR: In this article, a deterministic inventory model is developed for a single deteriorating item which is stored in two different warehouses, where a rented warehouse is used to store the excess units over the fixed capacity of the own warehouse.

TL;DR: In this paper, a deterministic inventory model for deteriorating items with two warehouses is developed when the replenishment rate is finite, demand is at a uniform rate, and shortages are allowed.

A two warehouse inventory model for deteriorating items with a linear trend in demand and shortages
TL;DR: A deterministic inventory model with two warehouses, one is the existing storage known as own warehouse (OW) and the other is hired on rental basis known as rented warehouse (RW), which allows different levels of item deterioration in both warehouses.
