The braking control method provides required values for the braking force or braking moment for a vehicle braking system in dependence on the required vehicle retardation, with either the electric-regenerative braking maximized, or the required braking values for the electric-regenerative and frictional braking determined in dependence on braking distribution criteria. An Independent claim is included for a device for determining required braking values for a vehicle with an electric drive.
