Mouse nerve growth factor combining with mecobalamin is safty and effective to the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
Abstract
Objective:To observe the efficacy of the mouse nerve growth factor(NGF) treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods:65 patients with DPN were randomly divided into two groups(A and B group),A group was given to mNGF,B group was given to mecobalamin only.Observing the clinical efficacy, the improving condition of MNCV and SNCV before and after curation. Results:The efficacy of A group was highter than that of B group(P0.01),the MNCV and SNCV of A and B group become faster after curation(P0.05),the nerve conduction velocity of A group was higher than B group(P0.01).Conclusion:Mouse nerve growth factor combining with mecobalamin is safty and effective to the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Efficacy and safety of nerve growth factor for the treatment of neurological diseases: a meta-analysis of 64 randomized controlled trials involving 6,297 patients.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors evaluated comprehensively the efficacy and safety of nerve growth factor for the treatment of neurological diseases and found that the overall effective rate, the incidence of adverse effects, and the nerve conduction velocity were recorded for each study.

Efficacy and safety of nerve growth factor for the treatment of neurological diseases: a meta-analysis of 64 randomized controlled trials involving 6,297 patients

TL;DR: Nerve growth factor can significantly improve nerve function in patients with nervous system disease and is safe and effective according to a comprehensively evaluated meta-analysis of studies involving 6,297 patients with neurological diseases.
