Composition of polyolefin, polystyrene and block of said polymers

TLDR
In this paper, a process for obtaining homogeneous polymer compositions containing at least one olefin polymer and/or one arylvinyl polymer is described, and the process consists of adding, to either or to a mixture of both of these polymers, one or more block copolymers, containing one polyolefin and one polyarylvinyl sequence.
Abstract
This invention concerns a process for obtaining homogeneous polymer compositions containing at least one olefin polymer and/or one arylvinyl polymer. The process consists of adding, to either or to a mixture of both of these polymers, one or more block copolymers, containing one polyolefin and one polyarylvinyl sequence. These polymer compositions provide homogeneous substances with properties combining those of the individual polymers, and in some mixtures these properties are considerably improved as the result of synergic phenomena.

Clear, autoclavable plastic formulation free of liquid plasticizers

TL;DR: A clear, autoclavable, blow-moldable plastic formulation for medical and other uses comprises a two, or optionally three, component system including (1) a polyolefin consisting of propylene units as a first component, (2) a block copolymer having thermoplastic rubber characteristics with a central block of ethylenebutylene copolymers and terminal blocks of polystyrene, and (3) an optional third ingredient comprising a softening agent of polyethylene or poly(ethylene-vinyl acetate), which is particularly desirably used

Positive temperature coefficient of resistance compositions

TL;DR: In this paper, a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTC) crosslinked polymeric composition comprising a first polymeric material exhibiting high green strength prior to crosslinking and elastomeric behavior subsequent to cross-linking, and a thermoplastic, both said materials having dispersed therein conductive particles, e.g., carbon black, was shown to exhibit a rise in resistance with increased temperature at temperatures above the melting point of either material.
