An electronic stethoscope device having a housing containing a microphone, transistor amplifier for the signals coming from the microphone, a power source to power the amplifier and a device to switch the power source on and off has device constructed with two parallel electrical conductors (9, 10) at a small separation from each other which are so designed and attached to the exterior of the stethoscope housing (1) that they are connected by contact of the stethoscope body to the moving skin surface. The connection of these conductors (9, 10) switches on the power source, and removal of the stethoscope from the body automatically switches the power source off.read more
