TLDR
In this paper, reaction products of polyamines with certain polycarboxylic acid anhydrides are modified by reacting with formaldehyde and sodium sulfite or bisulfite, formaldehyde, and phosphorus acid, haloalkane sulfonic acid salts, γ-propane sultone, acrylic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid and Haloalkanoic acids.Abstract:
Reaction products of polyamines with certain polycarboxylic acid anhydrides are modified by reacting with formaldehyde and sodium sulfite or bisulfite, formaldehyde and phosphorus acid, haloalkane sulfonic acid salts, γ-propane sultone, haloalkane phosphoric acid, acrylic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid and haloalkanoic acids which give emulsions capable of producing medium set mixing grade asphalt emulsions, rapid set asphalt emulsions, and quick set slurry seal emulsions. Solventless asphalts as well as asphalts containing up to 15% by volume of a hydrocarbon oil can be used for emulsification.read more

Method for producing bitumen compositions
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed bituminous paving compositions suitable for use in paving applications containing bitumen emulsion of performance-grade bitumen that is substantially free of volatile solvents and made by controlling temperature-dependent interfacial rheology through the use of selected emulsifiers.

Method for producing bituminous compositions
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for the production of bituminous compositions formulated with performance-graded bitumen-containing solvent-free bitumen emulsions which exhibit controllable, temperature-dependent interfacial rheology.

Anionic bituminous emulsions with improved adhesion
Peter Schilling,Everett Crews +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for enhancing adhesion between asphalt and aggregate in anionic solventless and solvent-containing bituminous emulsions wherein the emulsifiers are alkali earth salts of tall oil fatty acids, fortified tall oil acids, tall oil rosins, and fortified rosin as well as combinations of kraft lignins and nonionic emulsifier was proposed.

Cationic bituminous emulsions
TL;DR: In this article, reaction products of polyamines with sulfonated oleic acid and tall oil fatty acids are disclosed which give emulsions capable of producing cationic medium set mixing grade asphalt emulsion.

Bituminous emulsions useful with mixtures of siliceous and limestone aggregate
TL;DR: In this paper, bituminous emulsions are provided which develop good adhesion with either calcium-based aggregates or siliceous-based aggregate or mixtures thereof.
Patent
Mixing of asphalt emulsion and aggregate in aqueous bituminous emulsion-aggregate slurries
TL;DR: In this paper, an improved mixing process for aqueous bituminous emulsionaggregate slurries is disclosed whereby cationic emulsions are prepared by emulsifying bitumen such as an asphalt, in water with a new kind of cation-active emulsifier which is the product of the reaction of a polyamine with certain polycarboxylic acids.
