Journal ArticleDOI
Tetrahedral intermediates in reactions of carboxylic acid derivatives with nucleophiles
TL;DR: In this article, neutral, cationic and anionic tetrahedral intermediates are described which serve as models for transacylation under neutral, acid-catalysed or basic conditions.
Book ChapterDOI
The Spectroscopic Detection of Tetrahedral Intermediates Derived from Carboxylic Acids and the Investigation of Their Properties
TL;DR: In this paper, indirect evidence for the presence of tetrahedral intermediates in acyl-transfer reactions has been obtained from experiments, which indicate a change in rate-determining step and the incursion of an intermediate and from experiments that demonstrate a change with pH that has been interpreted as resulting from a change of the partitioning of a tetralayer intermediate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Schiff bases from d-glucosamine and aliphatic ketones
Esther M. S. Pérez,M. Avalos,M. Avalos,Reyes Babiano,Pedro Cintas,Mark E. Light,José L. Jiménez,Juan C. Palacios,Ana Sancho +8 more
TL;DR: Light is shed on the synthetic and structural aspects of chiral imines derived from aminosugars and aldehydes and their corresponding counterparts generated from ketones and updates the few antecedents reported so far.
Journal ArticleDOI
Syntheses of 2-Amino-2,3-dideoxy-L- and -D-Ribohexose by Utilizing an O→N Acetyl Migration
TL;DR: In this article, a reaction sequence involving 3-O→2-N acetyl migration of methyl 3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2-amino-2,deoxy-β-D-glucopyranoside (11D) is given.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereospecificity of the O→N acyl migration in 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzoyl-β-D-mannopyranosylamine
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that in O -acylated glycosylamines, O→N acyl migration is stereospecific and takes place when there is a cis relation between the O-acyl group at O-2 and the amino group at C-1.
