Journal ArticleDOI

Pore size distribution analysis of gel substances by size exclusion chromatography

TL;DR: In this article, a mixed solution of polymer and oligomers covering a sufficiently wide molecular weight range is brought into contract with a gel sample and the resulting differential dilution of the solute fractions is determined as a function of the molecular size by means of gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Apparent pore size distributions of chromatography media

TL;DR: In this article, the use of size-exclusion chromatography for determination of pore dimensions of chromatography media is reviewed, and the influence of various parameters, e.g., solute shape, pore shape, method errors, etc., is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of pore size distributions of porous chromatographic adsorbents by inverse size-exclusion chromatography.

TL;DR: Inverse size-exclusion chromatography (ISEC), a widely used chromatographic method for determining the PSD of porous media, provides more relevant information on liquid Chromatographic materials in situ than traditional methods, such as gas sorption and mercury intrusion.

Gel filtration: a method for desalting and group separation.

TL;DR: The method is based on a column procedure similar to chromatography in which the stationary phase is comprised of a new type of gel which consists of hydrophilic chains which are cross-linked.
