TLDR
In this paper, the spatial and temporal variability of soil properties and changes of soil quality in a hill region of subtropical China using geostatistical methods were studied. But the results of the study were limited.About:

Heavy metals contents in agricultural topsoils in the Ebro basin (Spain). Application of the multivariate geoestatistical methods to study spatial variations.
TL;DR: The spatial heavy metals component maps based on geostatistical analysis, show definite association of these factors with the soil parent material and the local anomalies (found in Cu, Zn and Pb) are attributed to anthropogenic influence.

Evaluating soil quality indices in an agricultural region of Jiangsu Province, China.
TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed the soil quality of Zhangjiagang County, a rapidly developing region of China, using the integrated quality index (IQI) and Nemero Quality Index (NQI) in combination with three indicator selection methods: total data set (TDS), minimum data set(MDS), and Delphi Data Set (DDS).

Spatial Variability of Nutrient Properties in Black Soil of Northeast China
TL;DR: In this article, a total of 1400 soil samples from the plow layer (0-20cm) at an approximate interval of 5km were collected in the autumn of 2002 over the entire black soil arable crops region to determine the spatial variability of seven variables, such as total organic matter content (OMC), total N, total P, total K, alkali-dissolvable N (AN), available P (AP), and available K (AK), with classical statistics and geostatistical analysis across the whole black soil area in Northeast China.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temporal and spatial variability of soil organic matter and total nitrogen in an agricultural ecosystem as affected by farming practices
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper examined the temporal and spatial variation of SOM and STN in Rugao city, Jiangsu Province, an agricultural area in Yangtze River Delta region, China, as affected by farming practices using the data from 1982 through 1997 to 2002.

Spatial relations of heavy metals in arable and greenhouse soils of a Mediterranean environment region (Spain)
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared arable soils (AS) from western areas of the Andalusian Autonomous Community (SE Spain) with greenhouse soils (GS) from the province of Almeria, one of the most productive agricultural systems in Europe.

Field-scale variability of soil properties in central iowa soils
Cynthia A. Cambardella,Thomas B. Moorman,Timothy B. Parkin,Douglas L. Karlen,Jeffrey M. Novak,Ronald F. Turco,Allan Konopka +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, field-scale distributions and spatial trends for 28 different soil parameters at two sites within a watershed in central Iowa were investigated using semivariograms and the ratio of nugget to total semivariance, expressed as a percentage, was used to classify spatial dependence.

Geostatistics in soil science: state-of-the-art and perspectives
TL;DR: An overview of the most recent developments in the field of geostatistics and describes their application to soil science can be found in this article, where the authors assess the uncertainty about unsampled values, which usually takes the form of a map of the probability of exceeding critical values, such as regulatory thresholds in soil pollution or criteria for soil quality.
