WRKY Proteins: Signaling and Regulation of Expression during Abiotic Stress Responses
TL;DR: The diverse signaling pattern and biological functions of WRKY proteins throughout the plant kingdom along with the growing prospects in this field of research are reckoned.
Journal Article
Metabolic and molecular-genetic regulation of proline signaling and itscross-talk with major effectors mediates abiotic stress tolerance in plants
TL;DR: Proline (Pro) accumulation is a common response of several plant species to combat abiotic stresses and has a universal mechanism to generate abiotic stress tolerance through stabilization of structural components, enzyme structures, and regulation of osmotic adjustments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seed pre-treatment with spermidine alleviates oxidative damages to different extent in the salt (NaCl)-stressed seedlings of three indica rice cultivars with contrasting level of salt tolerance
TL;DR: Results indicated that seed treatment with Spd at the pre-sowing stage can promote NaCl tolerance with varying degrees in salt-sensitive and salt-tolerant rice cultivars by alleviating oxidative damages, triggering the antioxidants and osmolytes, and activating the antioxidative enzymes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential regulation of defence pathways in aromatic and non-aromatic indica rice cultivars towards fluoride toxicity
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present regulation of diverse metabolic and molecular defence pathways during fluoride stress in non-aromatic rice variety, IR-64 and aromatic Rice variety, Gobindobhog (GB).
Journal ArticleDOI
Understanding the roles of osmolytes for acclimatizing plants to changing environment: a review of potential mechanism.
TL;DR: This review would help the readers in learning more about osmolytes and how they behave in changing environments as well as getting an idea of how this knowledge could be applied to develop stress tolerance in plants.
