TLDR
In this paper, the Grobner basis was used for describing character varieties by explicit polynomial equations. Butler et al. showed that the generator sets of the coordinate rings of G-character groups can be described by G character varieties.

Character varieties of abelian groups

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that for reductive groups with a maximal torus, the Weyl group is the normalization of the irreducible component of the trivial representation.

Line operators in theories of class $\mathcal{S}$, quantized moduli space of flat connections, and Toda field theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the AGT correspondence to higher-rank class of supersymmetric gauge theories coincides with the skein algebra studied in the context of Chern-Simons theory.

E-polynomial of the SL(3,C)-character variety of free groups.

TL;DR: In this article, the Euler characteristic of representations of rank r free groups in SL(3,C) is computed using fibrations, and a new proof of results of Cavazos and Lawton is given.

Line operators in theories of class $\mathcal{S}$, quantized moduli space of flat connections, and Toda field theory

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the AGT correspondence can be seen as evidence for the generalization of AGT to higher-rank class $\mathcal{S}$ theories.

Linear Algebraic Groups

TL;DR: A linear algebraic group over an algebraically closed field k is a subgroup of a group GL n (k) of invertible n × n-matrices with entries in k, whose elements are precisely the solutions of a set of polynomial equations in the matrix coordinates as mentioned in this paper.
