NASA Giovanni (Goddard Interactive Online Visualization ANd aNalysis Infrastructure) is a web-based remote sensing and model data visualization and analysis system developed by the Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC). This web-based tool facilitates data discovery, exploration and analysis of large amount of global and regional data sets, covering atmospheric dynamics, atmospheric chemistry, hydrology, oceanographic, and land surface. Data analysis functions include Lat-Lon map, time series, scatter plot, correlation map, difference, cross-section, vertical profile, and animation etc. Visualization options enable comparisons of multiple variables and easier refinement. Recently, new features have been developed, such as interactive scatter plots and maps. The performance is also being improved, in some cases by an order of magnitude for certain analysis functions with optimized software. We are working toward merging current Giovanni portals into a single omnibus portal with all variables in one (virtual) location to help users find a variable easily and enhance the intercomparison capabilityread more

Changes in air quality and human mobility in the USA during the COVID-19 pandemic
TL;DR: In this article, the authors quantify the magnitude and spatial variability of air quality changes in the USA during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on two pollutants that are federally regulated, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyunsaturated Aldehydes from Large Phytoplankton of the Atlantic Ocean Surface (42°N to 33°S)
Ana Bartual,Nestor Arandia-Gorostidi,Andrés Cózar,Soledad Morillo-García,María J. Ortega,Montserrat Vidal,Ana María Cabello,J.I. González-Gordillo,Fidel Echevarría +8 more
TL;DR: Results show the ubiquitous presence of pPUA in the open ocean, including upwelling areas, as well as oligotrophic gyres, and a pattern of PUA variation in relation to trophic status is found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rethinking Climate, Climate Change, and Their Relationship with Water
TL;DR: In this article, the authors revisited the notion of climate along with its historical evolution, tracing the origin of modern concerns about climate, and gave a more rigorous definition of climate, consistent with the modern body of stochastic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determining the efficacy of guppies and pyriproxyfen (Sumilarv® 2MR) combined with community engagement on dengue vectors in Cambodia: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
John Hustedt,John Hustedt,Dyna Doum,Vanney Keo,Sokha Ly,BunLeng Sam,Vibol Chan,Neal Alexander,John S. Bradley,Didot Budi Prasetyo,Agus Rachmat,Shafique Muhammad,Sergio Lopes,Rithea Leang,Jeffrey Hii +14 more
TL;DR: This trial is expected to provide robust estimates of the intervention effect of guppy fish (guppies), in combination with the use of the larvicide pyriproxyfen (Sumilarv® 2MR), and Communication for Behavioral Impact (COMBI) activities to reduce entomological indices in Cambodia.

Evolution of river-routing schemes in macro-scale models and their potential for watershed management
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared river-routing schemes by examining their structure, rationale and limitations for regional or watershed-centric applications, and provided a comprehensive overview of their scope and limitation.
