TLDR
In this paper, a hot wire TIG welding apparatus has a current detector for detecting the peak period and base period of the arc current, and the welding apparatus further has a controller which controls, in response to the detection signal from the current detector, the operation of the wire heating power supply.Abstract:
A hot wire TIG welding apparatus has a current detector for detecting the peak period and base period of the arc current. The welding apparatus further has a controller which controls, in response to the detection signal from the current detector, the operation of the wire heating power supply such that the wire heating power is supplied only during the base period of the arc current. According to this arrangement, a hot wire switching TIG welding apparatus can be produced using commercially available power supply systems for TIG arc welders, without requiring substantial change or modification of the control circuits in the TIG arc welders.read more

Short circuit transfer arc welding machine
TL;DR: In this paper, a short circuiting arc welding machine is used to increase the depth of bead penetration into a workpiece by adding a pulsed current having upper and lower limits to a current flowing when an arc is produced.

Method of electrode current control in welding apparatus having a plurality of electrodes
TL;DR: In this paper, the ratio between the individual currents is selected under the condition that the sum of the values of all the currents is maintained at a predetermined value, while depending on the welding condition, the values can be freely selected without the limitation of maintaining the sum-of-all-currents at the predetermined value.

All position TIG welding process
TL;DR: In this article, a TIG welding process with controlled welding current pulses is described, in which DC current pulses with the frequency set at from tens to hundreds Hz (most preferably from 30 to 300 Hz) are fed to an electrode and current pulses are also fed to a filler wire so that an arc is caused to swing, whereby a large pool of molten metal can be maintained in a positive and stable manner due to the high arc pressure obtained when the welding current pulse at tens-to- hundreds Hz is used.
