International Trade and Transport Profiles of Latin American Countries, year 2000

Abstract
This document endeavors to serve two main purposes: (1) to present information about the major trade flows of eleven Latin American countries, their volume and value, countries of departure and destination, and the modes of transport; and (2) to illustrate what type of more specific queries can be made to the International Transport Database (BTI) of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)'s Transport Unit. The report includes annual data for 1997 to 2000 for the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The fields of information covered for each country are mode of transport, product, country of origin, tonnage, and the value of exports and imports.
