Aging of equipment in the electric utilities
B.S. Bernstein,E.L. Brancato +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors point out that multiple-stress-induced aging occurs in all electrical equipment and that the dominant aging mechanism may differ for each class of equipment, depending on the equipment environment.

Performance of some magnetic slot wedges in an open-slot induction motor
B.J. Chalmers,J. Richardson +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental assessment of magnetic slot wedges for use in induction motors with open stator slots is presented, and the results show that a good wedge design can so improve the electrical performance of an open-slot machine that it approaches the performance of the equivalent machine with semiclosed stators.
