TLDR
A toxic waste incinerator is capable of enhanced combustion of hazardous waste (oil contaminated sand, human waste, garbage, etc.) utilizing immersed noncombustible and thermally conductive objects for increasing heat feedback from the flames to the unburned fuel, while air inlets are used to optimize the air entrainment rate to enhance the burning efficiency as mentioned in this paper.Abstract:
A toxic waste incinerator is capable of enhanced combustion of hazardous waste (oil contaminated sand, human waste, garbage, etc.) utilizing immersed non-combustible and thermally conductive objects for increasing heat feedback from the flames to the unburned fuel, while air inlets are used to optimize the air entrainment rate to enhance the burning efficiency. The burning rate of a fluidic mass such as a sand-oil mixture is enhanced using immersed conductive objects (copper rods) which enable rapid heat-up of the flame exposed to the upper surface of the rod and transmits heat back into the sand. Consequent conduction of heat to the porous media through the lower portion of the immersed rod significantly increases vaporization and therefore the burning rate. Incineration may be performed on a transient, exigent basis as with hazardous waste and oil spills, or as part of a permanent fixture for receiving an ongoing waste stream.read more

Combustion by controled ionisation
TL;DR: This way of making conducts to more violent shocks between the cations (C+++; H+) and the anions (O−−); thus more energy is generated as discussed by the authors.
Patent
Device for improving combustion efficiency of treating sea surface spilled oil by in-situ combustion method
TL;DR: In this article, a device for improving the combustion efficiency of treating sea surface spilled oil by an in-situ combustion method is presented. But the device is not suitable for the case of large-scale spills.

Post-aerated burner for ground flare, and ground flare incorporating same
TL;DR: In this article, a concealed flare has a fuel gas supply pipe having a low resistance to upward aspirated air flow and outlets directing fuel gas onto adjacent plates which cause spreading and mixing of fuel gas with air.
Patent
Apparatus and method for thermal neutralization of gaseous mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, a process atmosphere incinerator for neutralizing chemical non-innocent gaseous mixtures uses thermally induced neutralization reactions, and does not rely on the use of auxiliary components.
Patent
Methods and Systems for Clean-Up of Hazardous Spills
TL;DR: In this article, a system for burning an water-oil emulsion that includes an enclosure configured to hold a water oil emulsion and conductive rods disposed throughout the enclosure, each rod of the one or more roads having a heater portion to be submerged in the water oil, and a collector portion to project above the water-OIL emulsion, wherein the collector portion is longer than the heater portion.
Patent
Perforated flame deflector
TL;DR: A series of perforated plates are placed in alignment with a horizontally sposed burner tube and canted to spread the flame from the burner both axially and transverse the axis of the tube as discussed by the authors.
Patent
Gasification apparatus and gasification method
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a gasification apparatus consisting of a reactor for gasifying fuel; a fuel supply part for supplying fuel to the reactor; and a dispersion plate for spraying fuel, so as to enhance reactivity in the reactor, and aerosolizing moisture within fuel.
