TLDR
In this paper, a method of making beryllium or beryellium alloy shapes from powder metal by first pressing the shape either by isostatic pressing or conventional mechanical compacting methods at room temperature to 60 percent to 95 percent of theoretical density at a pressure of between 30,000 and 90,000 psi or above and subsequently pressing and heating to final size and density.
Abstract
A method of making beryllium or beryllium alloy shapes from powder metal by first pressing the beryllium or beryllium alloy shape either by isostatic pressing or conventional mechanical compacting methods at room temperature to 60 percent to 95 percent of theoretical density at a pressure of between 30,000 and 90,000 psi or above and subsequently pressing and heating to final size and density at temperatures between 1,400 DEG F and 2,150 DEG F (preferably 1,550 DEG F to 1,900 DEG F) and pressures of from 100 to 10,000 psi effective pressure on the compacted powder, preferably at 100 to 2,500 psi The second pressing of the shape is done with mechanical pressure simultaneously with the application of heat under vacuum or inert environment

Method of producing dense metal tubes or the like

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and a capsule and a blank for producing tubes, bars or similar profiled elongated dense metal objects, preferably in stainless steel qualities, by single or multi-stage extrusion of capsules which are filled with powder of metals or metal alloys or mixtures thereof or with mixtures of powder of powders with ceramic powder and sealed and which are adapted in their form to the desired object or intermediate product, as starting material a powder being used which consists at least predominantly of substantially spherical grains and sealed being compressed by means of cold-isostatic pressure acting

Method of producing shaped objects

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-supporting layer is formed on the dummy object to enclose the latter, and then a hollow space or cavity is formed which is defined by the layer and which corresponds to the configuration of the dummy objects.

Nuclear fuel fabrication process

TL;DR: Disclosed is a method of making a pellet from a powder by placing the powder in a heatshrinkable container, sealing the container and isostatically pressing the container at a temperature which causes it to shrink, followed by decomposition of the container, and sintering of the powder.
