A review of the nesting habits and socioecology of the ant genus Polyrhachis Fr. Smith

TL;DR: The inclusion of larval silk in the nests is correlated almost entirely with arboreal nesting, but the presence of spider silk in at least four species suggests caution when inferring silk origin, and polydomy and polygyny are known from a number of species and may be more common in arborean nesting species.

The Ant Fauna of the Bo wen Basin, in the Semi‐arid Tropics of Central Queensland (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

TL;DR: Almost all the species that could be confidently named, including Myrmecia varians Mayr, Anochetus armstrongi McAreavey, Brachyponera lutea (Mayr), Iridomyrmexpurpureus (F. Smith), I. sanguineus Forel, Camponotus dromas Santschi, are widespread in northern or eastern Australia, but most of the other species appear to have far more restricted distributions.

TL;DR: A study of the taxonomy and nesting habits of the ant subgenus Myrmatopa Forel in the Indo-Malayan subregion aimed to resolve the taxonomic and bionomic problems of the subgenu Myrmatopopa, to revise the Indian species of this group based on the morphological and ecological characteristics of the workers, and queen when information on the worker-queen association was available.
