TLDR
In this article, the connection between matrix elements of one body operators in odd nuclei and vertex functions is demonstrated and the renormalization of the external field, necessistated by configuration space limitations, is carried through for scalar, local fields, acting on the density and for radiation fields of the electric multipole type.
Abstract
We demonstrate the connection between matrix elements of one body operators in odd nuclei and vertex functions. The procedure is free of assumptions on the pole distribution of the two point functions and it does not use perturbation theory. The renormalization of the external field, necessistated by configuration space limitations, is carried through for scalar, local fields, acting on the density and for radiation fields of the electric multipole type using the requirement of gauge invariance. It is shown that this renormalization is possible, even if the renormalized field is strongly energy dependent due to configuration mixing.

Theory of finite Fermi systems and application to the lead region

TL;DR: In this article, a review on the theory of finite fermi systems and its application to nuclei in the Pb-region is given, where the basic equations are derived and renormalized using the Landau prescription.

Magnetic multipole moments and transition probabilities of single-particle states around 208pb

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented numerical calculations of magnetic dipole moments, magnetic octupole moments and transition probabilities in odd-mass nuclei around 208 Pb. The calculations were performed in the framework of the theory of finite Fermi systems with an effective magnetic operator.

TL;DR: In this paper, the exact formulae for the S-matrix describing the scattering of nucleons on odd-mass and doubly even nuclei were derived and conditions under which these go over into the distorted-wave Born approximation are discussed.

The influence of the nuclear polarization on the properties of odd-odd nuclei in the lead region

TL;DR: Using a large configuration space and a density-dependent interaction, the properties of the ground and excited states of the odd-odd nuclei 208Bi, 208Tl, 210Bi and 206Tl are calculated in this paper.
